Great little cottage , had what we needed, great neighborhood, clean , friendly. Location, location , location. 5–10 minutes walk to the beach. Good restaurants, check out Off the Grid and Beth’s Bakery. After Labor Day is great time to come. We even survived the effects of hurricane Lee

we loved our stay, the place was clean and welcoming. On the other hand, the mattresses could be a little more comfortable. The negative point was the BBQ which was really very dirty, the container was full of oil which is very dangerous if a spark got into it. It took us an hour to scrub the grates and get it into satisfactory and safe condition.

This was our second visit and we had an overall great trip and stay. There was an issue with check in where keys had not been placed in the box. However, Arlene was very communicative and quickly resolved the problem for us. Overall happy with the amenities and cleanliness of the property.

Our family of 4 adults (plus a weekend visitor friend ) had plenty of room in this lovely traditional Cape Cod style home. The informative booklets and magazines provided by our kind host gave us so many great ideas for new experiences during our repeat stay ! We did not take advantage of the beach supplies this year as we focused more on biking and boat excursions , but welcomed the return to wonderfully cool air conditioning at the days end during what was one of the hottest weeks this summer! The deck was a favorite spot for having our morning coffee while enjoying the songbirds and the fenced backyard offered privacy . Our thanks to Arlene for sharing her home and always being available for questions . Looking forward to more Cape fun next year!

We had a wonderful time visiting Sandwich. The house is beautifully maintained, clean and well kept.

This property was amazing! We had no issues with anything. Check in was smooth, neighborhood was gorgeous and very quiet, plenty of parking, back yard was peaceful and very well maintained. The beach was gorgeous and just a couple of blocks away. We will definitely be back!!! 5 stars all around!!!

Our family had a great stay. Home had everything we needed and was very clean. Beaches within a 10min nice walk. The beach wagon and float tubes were excellent to have available. Really a great location in between being able to walk to the beach, the canal, Treehouse Brewing, shops and restaurants.

The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Spent part of the stay alone with my young adult son and his girlfriend staying a couple of days. Perfect for that with two queen beds and two bathrooms, not to mention Treehouse brewery an easy walk away. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. A lovely property!

This was a charming little house with plenty of room for our family of four ... to cook meals in the clean and well-equipped kitchen, to sleep in the 3 bedrooms, and to generally hang out. The beach as well as the the historic downtown are a few min walk, making this an ideal location. Check in/check out were very easy and the place was in great condition. We really enjoyed it.

My husband and I had a wonderful week at Arlene’s home. We honeymooned on the Cape 45 years ago and have returned many times since. This was our first time in Sandwich. Home was cozy, kitchen well stocked and bed was very comfortable. A lovely neighborhood for leisurely walks. We spent time exploring the area, Cafe Chew was a favorite! Spent a day in Chatham, bought pies from Marion’s Pie Shop and did antiquing in Dennisport. Thanks, Arlene for sharing your place with us! Anne and Dave Miller

First night - turned down the covers to put my daughter to bed and there was debris and 4 blood stains on the fitted sheet in the pillow area. There is no way anybody could've made that bed and not seen those blood stains. They had to be new stains because they were soaked through to the mattress pad. So that leads me to believe the sheets were not changed on that twin bed between guests. I brought it to the Manager's attention and got an offer for them to come change the sheets for us. (We had already done that so my daughter would be willing to get in the bed.) Never got an apology. The response did not match the problem. We also had some issues with towels. No towels were in the upstairs bathroom. We were provided only 4 washcloths total. We were staying a week and there were 4 of us. When I asked about this, there was some back and forth asking me what washcloths were. 2 days later, we got a delivery of towels in a Big Lots bag - had an odor. There was confusing info about the trash day. Got a message from the Manager to put out the trash on one night yet the instructions (sign) in the kitchen said trash day was later that week. Tried to clarify - never figured it out - just followed the instructions in the house. Randomly got a message 2 days later that the Manager was sending over her son to take care of the trash but that never happened. (Seemed like the Manager was getting confused about different properties perhaps.) The kitchen, bathrooms, hard floors were all very clean. But, the carpets upstairs are wrinkled and heavily stained. Lots of the sheets and towels are stained. The upstairs bathroom does not have an outlet and has the only mirror upstairs so we mostly used the downstairs bathroom. There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom. Each bedroom has a wall thermostat (w/ a bright LED light) and they kept randomly turning on and off all night waking us up so we had to cover them up. The house is cute and in an absolutely lovely neighborhood that we felt safe in. Very close to the beach. The backyard has a nice garden and deck. The house is about 50% updated. We appreciated the beach gear available in the shed. I've stayed in 10+ vacation rentals across the country so I've seen a lot of variety. I've never had to contact a Manager this much. I was not impressed with the service and I don't know how this property has 5-stars.

This property is close to everything. Great restaurants and the beach. The yard is fenced in and pretty. This is our second time at this property. We will return again next year. Arlene is a great host.

Beautiful clean house located within a 15 min. Walking distance to the beach. Close to yummy seafood restaurants.

We stayed here for our daughters wedding. The house accommodated 4 adults and 1 child very comfortably. The location is awesome and very walkable.

Lovely house with comfortable sleeping for 6 adults and great amenities. A short walk and even shorter ride to the beach. Check-in was super easy, our hosts provided everything we needed to enjoy the beach, fabulous deck and backyard. Our family of 5 consisits of 3 grown children and the space was just right!

Property was perfect for a family. Main beach was rocky but marsh side was great for little ones

From the moment we arrived, we could not believe how lucky we were to have rented Arlene’s home. The house was clean, had a great layout and well appointed with absolutely everything our family needed. The home was in a fantastic neighborhood. We especially loved the privacy afforded with the fenced backyard with large deck/patio table/chairs/bbq grill. The shed held all of the beach goodies for our frequent trips to the beaches which were walking distance from the home. Monarch and Swallowtail butterflies were frequent visitors to the backyard butterfly bush. The town of Sandwich had so many shops, restaurants, and scenic areas. We loved exploring. Don’t miss the sunsets over the bay! We watched the sunset every night and then visited Twin Acres ice cream. Highly recommend the cannoli ice cream. We would love to repeat visitors to the cute Cape Cod home.

This was our fourth trip to Sandwich and it was just as wonderful as the other times we have visited. The location to the canal, restaurants, beaches, and shopping couldn’t have been better. We were able to bring our small dog and have her enjoy the fenced in beautiful garden and fire pit with us. Arlene was responsive and very professional. We would definitely stay again.

This was a repeat visit to this lovely Cape retreat ! A welcome home away from home with well maintained landscaping and large deck to enjoy .There is great proximity to both beach and town . Biking distance to the Cape Cod Canal for fishing as well as several good restaurants. Our host Arlene was very quick to respond to make sure we had everything we needed . Hope to make this an annual escape!

Unfortunately, the weather was terrible on the Cape while we were there and we had to leave a day early. But the house is cute, and a good location near shops and restaurants and a beach The host was very understanding about us leaving and very responsive to emails and texts We would stay here again.

The accuracy for this place was exactly how it is listed, no complaints at all! We enjoyed ourselves for a long weekend away. Such a beautiful neighborhood. The fire pit was great for the fall time! Perfect size backyard for our little dog and privacy while enjoying a fire. Very clean & had a full equipped kitchen!

House is lovely for a cape golf getaway. Located in a lovely and quiet residential location. House was clean and kitchen well stocked for your needs. A few restaurants and grocery store close by. Firepit was lovely to use on a Fall night.

The owner, Arlene was responsive when we had questions. The place was the cleanest home we ever rented. Toiletries, towels and kitchen utensils, pans and lots of ice in the freezer was really helpful. They generously provide floats and a wagon to put chairs in for trips to the beach. Fenced in yard very helpful for our doggie. We hope to return again. Thanks Arlene for a restful, fun week away.

Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We were all very happy with the cleanliness of the home. It was perfect for our 2 small families and our pup. The location is within walking distance of 2 beaches, but our favorite was the creek/marsh area by the boardwalk. The owner is kind enough to leave 5 tubes of assorted sizes, so we could float around. We loved the backyard. It was so relaxing during the day to watch the humming birds and butterflies. At night, we enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the fire. The location is close to lots of restaurants and things to do. We had a great time! Thank you, Arlene!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this sparkling clean and updated beach house . The close proximity within biking distance to canal fishing and bike trail is what drew us here but also found so many interesting and fun things to experience nearby! This felt like our home away from home with everything provided for beach and backyard enjoyment . Overall, excellent experience with the property, location, and communication with the owner. Will definitely consider going back.
