Nice friendly host that showed us the rooms and the facilities and who gave us an overview of what is worth seeing in the city and the region. The appartment was wel equiped with all the things you need, including DVD player with DVD's, books, washingmachine, 2 terraces.

It is our own choice, but the walking distance to city center and train station is quite far. Going to them is Okay, but after a whole day trip and excursion, the fatigue starts to weigh on us. But no problem.

Our two-week stay in Nimes was certainly enhanced by staying in the property. It was nicely furnished, quiet. secure, and private. It's a five- or six-minute walk to the Roman Arena and less than ten minutes to the Carree Maison and the upmarket dining/shopping area. There is a patisserie at the end of the street and a well-stocked grocery store a three-minute walk away. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and approachable. Both speak excellent English. The property even has two teapots, something which is often lacking in other apartments on the Continent. There is a washing machine in the bathroom.

The bathroom is downstairs which for us oldies entailed a trip down a steep flight of steps in the middle of the night. My size ten feet overlapped the steps by at least three inches, so it was much safer to come down the stairs sideways. We are 83 and 76 years old but we negotiated the stairs without mishap, but you should know that they are steep and narrow. A pair of scissors for cutting off the corner of milk cartons would have been useful. I'm certain if we had mentioned this to our host the deficiency would have been addressed. We had a Swiss Army Knife but not everyone travels with one.

Excellent location, only a 5 minute walk to the Arena and the other tourist attractions in this beautiful city. Close to a Carrefour Express and some takeaways. The apartment was very clean, tidy, well appointed and spacious. Secure parking only a couple of minutes away well worth the additional small charge. Excellent, clear and friendly communications with the host.

Nothing that I didn't like about the apartment but I would advise that the stairs to the bedroom are steep and would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
