We had a great time staying at the Captain’s quarters. Easy to walk along the road to Fulford harbor and a 13 minute drive to Ganges. Funtional fireplace was a nice touch as well.

Great property. Dog friendly rental. Convenient spot to explore the island. Beautiful view to have coffee on the deck and watch the ferry. Some minor things to note: the water access is across the street and down some stairs. Lovely to explore when the tide is out. The driveway gravel is very loose so we parked at the base. Not fully fenced so recommend bringing a long lead if your pup needs to be contained in the yard.

Captain’s Quarters is a clean, well-equipped cottage that offers a beautiful view of Fulford Harbour. A perfect location from which to explore the island! Easy check-in/check-out, responsive owner. We truly appreciate that the cottage is pet friendly; our doggo enjoyed her daily swims and beach walks right across the road. Thank-you for your hospitality, Razali!

A great view of Fulford. The cottage is comfortable and clean. In-suit laundry a bonus. We have always enjoyed our stay and look forward to many more visits.

House is lovely and beautifully appointed. Driveway needs a bit of work as its steep with some deep groves in it.

Loved the cozy cottage. Suited our family of five (including two teens and an 83 year old grandma). Comfy beds, great fireplace, comfy pull out couch which is unusual and appreciated and just a fantastic location for a stay on Salt Spring. We will return! Thank you!

We really enjoyed this cottage with a view of the ocean. It was well suited for our group of three adults and a launching place for exploring other parts of Salt Spring. The wood fireplace was very welcomed on a cooler night.

Great value, the property is clean, well equipped and is only a short drive to a number of trails. The cottage is across the street from a private beach access, the kitchen has all the necessary cooking utensils, and dinnerware.

Our stay was fantastic, despite the time of year. I was here with my sister to reconnect with childhood memories of our time with our grandparents on this wonderful island. This was a beautiful location, many magical moments!

House overlooks the inlet to Fulford Harbour, a peaceful setting and nice to watch the Ferry come and go. An easy run into Ganges and also the many studios and wineries on the way there. Ganges has the grocery shops you may need with some interesting others to pass the time.

Very comfortable and artistically decorated. Could have had information about wifi, tv, garbage disposal more readily available.

Very cozy cottage that looks out on Fulford Harbor through the trees. On a sunny afternoon, one has opportunity to sip wine on front porch or on back deck. Short stroll across the street to gated path and stairs leading to harbor waters. Functional kitchen, though you'll have to keep your elbows tucked in. Good exercise routine when assaulting upstairs bedroom, with a water closet boasting of a "belly-button" mirror. All in all, diminutive cottage grows positively on you. Enjoy your time, we did.

Arrival and check-in were super simple and the Captain’s Quarters was even better than what the photos had depicted! Sat in the front outside while having our breakfast and looking out over the water and then had our dinner bbq on the back patio with a nice bottle of wine….absolutely perfect! Can’t recommend this location (or our fabulous host) enough!

My wife and I plus another couple, long-time friends stayed 4 nights at this property. Very nicely organized. Two good bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Nice outside space across the road from the beach. All good.

Razali is such a lovely host and had provided such a lovely rental on Saltspring. The cabin has everything you need and is in a great location. The cabin was clean with comfy beds and the yard and deck was an added bonus. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook again.

This is a lovely cottage with a view of the water and the ferry traffic. The host is very helpful and all needs are met. It’s a short drive to Ganges and all amenities.

My husband, sister and mother had a three night stay, and we couldn’t have been happier. The cabin was exactly as expected, although the outside was the secret gem. A lovely enclosed garden with green space and beautiful deck surrounded by the woods where deer came to visit as we drank our coffees in the morning. The view of the ocean was stirring, and while we spent much of our day out and about on the island, we enjoyed our evenings playing games in the living room by the fire with the windows open listening to the ocean. To the review that stated it was cramped, we had 4 guests and my husband is 6’7 at that, and we were all VERY comfortable. I also had the pleasure of meeting the host and he was beyond kind and a joy to chat with. As an aside, my mother has slight mobility issues, and this rental was perfect as the main washroom was attached to her room so accessible at all times. An easy walk out as well to the deck to enjoy the lush forest was also something she enjoyed.

Contrary to the previous negative review (perhaps the reviewer had not read the property description) we found our experience staying at Captain’s Quarters absolutely delightful. The Cottage was clean as a whistle thanks to a wonderful housekeeper and had fantastic views of Fulford Harbour from all the waterside windows. The nautical theme decor throughout was charming. The beds and bedding were comfortable and top rate. We had the pleasure of meeting Razali, the owner, at his Gallery in town and were immediately drawn to his warm personality. We are already looking forward to our next Sister’s getaway at Captain’s Quarters. Many thanks from Jan and Caroline!

The house was cluttered and not on the water like picture indicated dirty cutlery and dishes in cupboards

Perfect for my husband & our pup. It’s very close to the ferry, a restaurant that we ate at one night & a cafe that we grabbed coffee & muffins from each morning. We enjoyed the water view & watching the ferry come & go.

So glad we found this sweet little cabin. It is very clean, equipped wonderfully and well situated. Lovely views of the harbour from livingroom and kitchen as well as off the kitchen deck. The other deck feels more private and in the small yard behind. We appreciated the fire being lit and lights on when we arrived. Can’t wait to return to SSI and book the captains quarters. It's prettier and larger than the photos lead you to believe. Perfectly quiet setting with lovely views across Fulford Harbour and a quick drive to the great restaurant and Mercantile shop by the ferry terminal. Superb star-gazing, as there's little ambient light close by. Good beds and excellent pillows and linens and the fireplace is super on chilly nights.
