The bed was comfortable and the cabin had interesting things to look at.
We had the cabin with an outhouse. Somehow, I didn't realize that until we arrived. I went back and read the entire email, and it did say it had an outhouse. I just thought it should have been a little more clear.

The most well stocked cabins I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. Would stay here again.
Mosquitoes, the Alaska State Bird. It comes with the territory so stay prepared. No fault of the property.

Great location. Kitchen had adequate amenities to cook meals. Bonus to have the outdoor grill.
The pictures online were a little deceiving in terms of where the beds were located. I thought the two queen beds would be in separate spaces - not right next to one another in one room.

Homely place, nice and local.
There was a mildew / mouldy odour when I entered and it bothered me a little bit. But got used too it.

Loved the details put into setting up the cabin. It was super comfortable, clean and had everything one might need for a few nights stay. (No standing shower - but not at all a dealbreaker for us :) )

The only thing that could have been better is if there was a shower. There was just a tub and limited hot water so we had to space out bathing. Other than that, the place was great!

Amazing find in an amazing place. The deceptively small cabin had everything my family of five needed for a very comfortable stay, and then some - from a soaking tub and a collection of vintage movies, to a working piano. Very friendly and hospitable owners even called us to let us know the cabin was ready ahead of check-in time. Location is wonderful as well - short walk to everything and cute hiking trails right across the road. I cannot recommend both Trapper John's cabin and Talkeetna enough!
In all honestly, nothing at all comes to mind. This place is great!

The atmosphere in this area was calming and relaxing. We choose to stay here to break-up the drive from Denali to Anchorage. The cottage was comfortable and accommodating and Rocket was very helpful in assisting us with some ideas to do in the area. Because we have plenty of camping experience we weren't put off by the out-house. It was much cleaner and upkept than some I've seen and very easy to get to in the middle of the night. This is located so close to downtown Talkeetna, a great place to shop and check out some of the history in the area.

It’s adorable, fun and quirky. The beds were comfy and we loved the quiet location close to town.

The amenities were great for us. It was great that they were pet friendly and the host was very friendly.
The price allowed for a more limited stay.

We stayed in the Yellow Cottage. The structure is dated, but it had a lot of charm. It was clean, bed was super comfortable with warm decor. There’s even a single bed nook for a third person. It’s situated in a quiet area and about a 7 minute walk to downtown Talkeetna strip with lots of shops and restaurants. Go to Denali Brew Pub and Mountain High Pizza Pie. People in the community are so friendly and welcoming. Our hosts Trisha and Rockett were very responsive and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

The door used a key code to unlock, and the passcode was sent to me prior to arrival. Very clear instructions!
