Property is very nice right on the lake .
The only little issue I had that I couldn’t bring the boat close to the shore because the water is very shallow, but I guess is good for family with small kids .

Even more beautiful in person - I am not sure if I could have picked a more perfect place to spend a relaxing week away.
The setting, I would have to imagine, is probably
one of the best ones in this area. What makes it is the shaded deck right on the water, which was a lovely place to have dinner and watch the sunset. The neighbors were friendly. The location was quiet, just far enough away from the bustling village.
The house was spotless with a very comfortable layout and fun nautical decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and the grill outside was great. Everyone slept comfortably with air conditioning in both rooms.
I would highly recommend and would be thrilled to return in the future!

We stayed for 4 days. The house is just as described- clean and well stocked. We had 4 adults and plenty of room. We did not use the upstairs rooms because the ceiling is low . It was a great home that lacked nothing. We did spend most of our time outside as it was so relaxing. We fished, kayaked and swam. You can walk out 250+ft before you are in water over 3ft. Water was warm and bottom is sandy once you past the weeds. Ducks and geese are always around. The restaurants were a short frive or walk away.

This property is ideal for any and all. Booked for weekend and 1st night was a relaxing girls night. We kayaked, grilled, had a fire, had coffee on the lake… Saturday in rolled my kids age 7, 17, and 19. We fished, kayaked, played badmitten, hula hooped, grilled some more, had a fire and did sparklers with the beautiful sunsetting in the background, made s’mores, made apple pies over open fire, played twister. By Sunday we were so pleased we invited some friends and family to join for the day. The water is so sandy and shallow forever that all the kids (with a now 18mo and 24mo) were able to splash around and play with us standing out in water up to knees. We have received countless thanks from those we invited for the day. Our group has not stopped talking about it. It was so well-stocked and welcoming. It made packing up for a weekend a total breeze. Robin was helpful with any questions I had. Which were minimal as everything seemed taken care of. Air conditioner in bedroom kept us comfortable during hot weekend. Highly recommend!

Had a very relaxing long weekend on the lake. The property location was perfect for a quiet holiday with only a short drive (or 20 min walk) to bars, restaurants and amusements. Robin was the perfect host! The sunsets were magical!

My mother and I took a girls trip back home for a few days and being someone who grew up in sylvan beach I would highly recommend this place. It’s very close to all the bars and fun stuff but far enough away to enjoy the peace of the lake. Our absolute favorite part was the dock and table right on the lake. We spent most of our time there enjoying meals and the sunsets. Robin was so easy to communicate with and had everything you could need in the house. This will be the place we stay at whenever we visit our hometown in the future!

Very quaint place right on the water. Back yard was perfect for a family BBQ (nice grill!), fishing and kayaking. The master bed and bath was spacious and kids would love the bedroom/play area upstairs. There are many amenities that are not included in the description including a brand new gas grill, a 2 person kayak, water tubes and lawn games. It was well equipped, very clean and extremely comfortable. The location is great too. Essentials are available within a half of a mile (to include good dining) and its only 20 minutes to the casinos, Vernon Downs and other local entertainment. NY wine country of the finger lakes is an easy day trip! Check in/out was the simplest I've ever experienced and the owners even left a very sweet check in gift for us :)

Another great stay at this cozy lake cottage. The owner, Robin, is always warm and welcoming. Quiet area just north of Sylvan beach. The cottage is always clean with comfortable furniture and no clutter. Your right on Oneida lake with beautiful views from the deck and cottage windows. We look forward to returning soon.

What a wonderful stay!
What an amazing property. The house was beautiful, the yard and deck were amazing, and Robin couldn’t have been nicer and more responsive. Any question I had (and there were a lot) she responded to within minutes.
There is nothing like sitting on the sun in the deck just watching the water and all the wildlife. We will definitely be back next year.

4th of July Weekend
Very clean and cozy cottage. We loved the sunsets and watching the fireworks around the lake. Tried fishing out of the kayak, but no luck. Nice walk into town to restaurants, beach and amusement park. Awesome communication with our host. Would love to come back another time!

We love everything about the place it has everything you need for an extended stay -beautiful scenery-beautiful decks-easy to get to- as we end our trips there for the year we have wonderful memories as always we will see you next year Robin take care always best to you and your family- my sister-in-law loves your big shades in the 2 rooms was wondering were you got them because she has a couple of big windows to-in closing Robin is so easy to get along with take extreme care in everything she does for here guest if there was a rating higher then 10 she would have our vote. Charming Cottage
My husband and I just spent 5 days at this lovely lakefront cottage. The cottage was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchens and baths are nicely updated as well. The entire house was thoughtfully appointed to meet all of our needs, and Robin was a very responsive host who made every effort to assure our stay was pleasant. It was a relaxing place to hang out, yet convenient to local bars and restaurants. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or an extended visit to chill out on Oneida Lake.

Nice stay on Sylvan Lake
We had a good week staying at this property. Being on the edge of the lake is great. We sat every morning to watch the osprey dive for fish,. saw ducks, seagulls and geese and a variety of other birds. The weather was great. Quite hot on a couple days which made it difficult to sleep on those nights in the bedroom without an air conditioner for that room. Either way, nothing was intolerable. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need and comfortable overall. We road bikes into town and around the surrounding area which is all quite quaint and beautiful.

Perfect lakeside relaxation destination!
we absolutely love this cottage! love the location! love the way it was decorated and Comfy bed. Perfect quiet location to watch the sunsets and birds (we saw: a bald eagle, great blue heron, king fisher, egrets, geese, and ducks) It was very well equipped. There was a deck right on the water (my favorite place to watch the sunsets). there was also a patio right outside the cottage. We also loved that the cottage was right outside of town, so it was quiet, but it was an easy walk into town for restaurants, ice cream, shops, and access to Sylvan beach for walks or amusement park. My adult kids loved the hammock in the shade and fire pit. we Loved the welcome basket and magical flames! everything was extraordinary! We hope to be back.

A special gem
This was my family’s second year staying at this property. The location is ideal! It is waterfront on the east shore of Oneida Lake, which is SO unique because a sandbar keeps the water shallow for at least 1/4 mile along only this part of the lake. (Making it ideal for leisurely splashing around all day.) It’s also easily walkable to the sleepy coastal town of Sylvan Beach. Robin (the property owner) is phenomenal…kind, responsive and truly cares that her renters love their stay. We highly recommend this gem!

Perfection
This was by far the best VRBO experience I have had. Robin is the perfect example of a SUPER host! Her communication throughout was kind, generous, and thorough. She provided us with great information about the area, restaurants, and activity recommendations . We were greeted with a welcome basket full of goodies and fresh flowers on the dining table. Her home is decorated to perfection and every comfort is provided. The setting is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous. We were treated to an amazing sunset on our last night. What a great place and host. Cannot wait to return.

Start to finish this vacation home raises the bar for others to follow. From the host who is welcoming, thoughtful, and very easy to communicate with. To the amazing property right on the lake making it your backyard. The nice little beach community, with many places to go and things to do. You can not go wrong.
My family will always cherish our time here, not to mention we recorded our child's first steps in the living room!
I left feeling that I couldn't have spent my vacation money any better, my grumpy wife who had been overworked for months and wasn't at all thrilled about a vacation had a blast and can't wait to go back.

Choose this location because we took my mother in law back to this area where she grew up and for her siblings and nieces to visit with us. Out side decking by lake was perfect for this. Did day trip to Niagara Falls, 3 hour drive each way, which was nice.

Wonderful, peaceful getaway
Our family of three spend a wonderful 5 days at this amazing home. The house is spotless, comfortable, cozy, lovingly decorated, and includes all kitchen/cooking supplies you need. The property is right on the water with a large yard, multiple comfortable outdoor seating options, and gorgeous unobstructed views of the large lake. We loved sitting on the deck watching the birds on the water, enjoying the sunsets and fall foliage across the lake, grilling, and taking walks down Sylvan Beach which can be accessed a few blocks away. Robin was incredibly quick to respond to any questions and was extremely helpful with anything. This was the perfect family vacation and was so relaxing, peaceful, and rejuvenating. Thank you Robin for an incredible stay, we highly recommend!

Lakeside Oasis
Just what we needed for a extended weekend get away. Thank you Robin for opening up your place for us. You did forget to mention all the wonderful birds we could watch on the lake. We loved watching the Bald Eagle fly by a few mornings and the Belted Kingfishers fishing daily. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying again and kayaking in the spring.

Charming Lakeside Cottage
Wonderful lakeside location, charming cottage, and spectacular sunsets. My husband and I spent a couple of days at Robin’s cottage and it was the perfect getaway.
You feel like you are staying at a friend’s house. Robin was most gracious, a wonderful host. She helped us with all our questions about the area and told us to make ourselves at home, which we did.

Anniversary Getaway
This quaint, tastefully decorated cottage was perfect for us! It was quietly situated right on the lakefront. We don’t like noise so this was perfect. Close to restaurants but far enough away to have peace and quiet. We enjoyed coffee out on patio and dinner on the deck in evening. Great hot water and pressure for a cottage and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed kayaking every day. We will be back! Robin the property owner was wonderful to deal with!
