Gorgeous period property . Interior was all sympathetic with the period and very well done.

A beautiful house in the perfect setting. A warm welcome and wonderful service from every single member of the team. Nothing was too much trouble, so helpful with finding things to do and booking slots. The room was so comfy and clean, everything that we needed. Make sure to book in for breakfast, so much choice and it was all delicious. Would absolutely recommend this gem of a find to anyone and we will stay here on our next visit.

What did we like ? Very friendly, helpful and welcoming Manager on Reception. Location for Central Bath is amazing, bedroom was delightful and very comfortable. All public rooms were traditionally furnished and very attractive. Breakfast was delicious, and beautifully served. Also a pleasure to meet the owner. We'll be back, and recommend you whenever we can.

The room was outstanding - elegant, immaculate with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and clearly were keen to out of their way to ensure we were happy and to offer local advice.

Elegant, comfortable, beautiful Georgian house with absolutely wonderful, helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast: fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, croissants, and a variety of cooked breakfast options in addition. Right by the delightful Holburne gallery, and a 10 minute walk from the Theatre Royal.

Breakfast excellent. Many hotels offer Continental OR British, but you could mix it up here. Being able to park so close to the hotel was a bonus. Not always easy to park in Bath. Friendly host. And the wee bag of sweeties for the trip home was a nice touch.

Not much really. A lift would be nice and the location isn't bang central, but these are tiny, tiny quibbles. It's a good hotel and I won't bother looking anywhere else next time I am in Bath.

Very stylish hotel, a warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. We stayed in the Argyle room which was spacious and on the first floor, lovely decor and very comfortable. Breakfast was everything you could ask for and more with impeccable service.

Perfect location

This lovely family-run hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing. We were given a charming and spacious room with a country view. The check-in was warm, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good with an extensive selection for a boutique hotel. Carole was superb, chatting with us at breakfast and offering sightseeing suggestions. On our final day, she checked train times for us and booked a taxi to the station. Thank you, Carole!

Loved our stay at The Dukes, lovely welcome on arrival, the owners of the hotel gave it just right, great little touches, breakfast so good! Positioned so well for the City Centre…would recommend and hope to visit again 😊

We had been warned about the stairs. We were at the top of the building. We coped alright.

All the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Good quality linen and fluffy towels. Plenty of hot water with good pressure. The breakfast provided was excellent with good quality ingredients. Excellent location.

Very beautiful building complemented by friendly , attentive welcoming staff , Breakfast was superb, close position to Bath city centre attractions and places to eat i would highly recommend The Hive Restaurant for an evening meal you wont be disappointed !

The staff were really helpful when checking in and carried bags up to room while we parked the car. They have an arrangement for parking nearby which was helpful. The breakfast was superb. Appreciated the personal touches.

Np issues at all, but need to be aware that there are stairs which were not a problem for us.

A mini fridge/ bar in room . Needed for our anniversary champagne 😩. Magnifying mirror in bathroom Very friendly staff , however, hotel lacked warm, welcoming atmosphere . Eg! Lighting, reception , entrance etc. Plants/ flowers maybe . Room was cold ( as very high ceilings. However, when we asked for heating we got it no problem.
