4.2
Very comfortable over the ten days we stayed.
Staff were excellent particularly those in the dining room.
Our only complaint was that, having had six dinners in the hotel, the food was excellent and the service exceptional, but there were too many menu items that were never available. They shouldn’t be on the menu if that is the case.
4.2
beautiful setting, clean and comfortable surroundings
swimming pool was under renovation whilst there
4.2
Location, view, spacious, free parking, good breakfast.
Very few vegan options, missing basic items at breakfast like coffee capsules, quite expensive for its level.
4.2
friendly staff, good service lovely quiet location. once you get out of the long road to the hotel the island is fantastic.
quite a long drive every day to get anywhere as the hotel is right at the end of a road along miles of coast, then you get back to the port where there’s nothing and then another good drive to get to anything. most of the roads wouldn’t suit a nervous driver, good surfaces but many very sharp bends and hairpin steep turns!
4.2
Amazing location.
sadly we did not request a sea view room - I would suggest trying to get a sea view room if possible. Service quite slow for dinner but they were busy. would be nice to have had a drink more quickly.
4.2
Extraordinary location, remoteness and quiet, great sea view from our room
Spa facilities are outdated and cramped, outdoor pool out of order, quality of food (particularly dinner) not up to parador standard, no information available for area and immediate surroundings
4.2
The view is amazing, the hotel is located in a very cinematographic spot. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is good.
The hotel is located at the very end of a road in one of the extremes of the island, so it's always a loooong way to get anywhere. There are no restaurants near except for the hotel restaurant, so it's mandatory to rent a car if you plan to stay there. The swimming pool area was closed due to "technical problems".

Very frendly staff. And good location

There is no where to compare this beautiful property with
All beautiful, not much English spoken on the island.
4.2
Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. Reasonably good food at the on-site restaurant. pleasant staff
Pool was closed “for maintenance” indefinitely. The workout room had one broken weight machine and pingpong table - literally nothing else. I booked this place so my kid could swim, but we got skunked
4.2
Staff very helpful and kind. Lovely public rooms and terraces.
Pool was out of service with no discount offered; it was one of the main reasons we selected it.
The lighting in the restaurant is way too bright!
4.2
Location is fantastic on the edge of a very peaceful bay with the volcanic cliffs rising behind. The hotel is only about 20 minutes from the ferry port on a good, pretty level road. Breakfasts were good quality with a choice of fresh fruit, meat, cheese and bread. We also had scrambled eggs each morning which were excellent. Our room, with a balcony overlooking the sea was spacious and with a good sized bathroom. We were pleased to have taken on half board as the dinners each night were good quality and there are not a lot of restaurants on the Island. If we came back to El Hierro we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
The hotel was probably a little on the pricey side but there is not a lot of accommodation on El Hierro so this was probably a fair price to pay. The swimming pool was out of action when we went (Feb 22) which was a little disappointing.

Rooms were good receptionists were good.
The restaurant was a real let down. Several dishes on the menu were not available on both days. They got my wife's main course wrong three times! One burnt, one still cold on the middle and one missing two key ingredients. Also very slow, 2 hours for 3 courses.
4.2
Perfect serive, exceptionally friendly personnel. Wonderful colonial style building with comfortable seating areas outside and inside. The restaurant is one of the best on the island. Breakfast expensive, but fantastic!
The bed was not really comfortable, mattress too soft. Everything else was good.
4.2
The room was excellent and the service from staff was excellent
We were very disappointed that the swimming pool was out of action - this was one of the main reasons we had selected this hotel.
4.2
Beautiful location; car is a necessity
The swimming pool was closed. Dirty,,broken tiles around it. No work was taking place to repair it.
The staff were very nice but there were not enough of them so service was sometimes very slow. We booked a car through the hotel and it was much too expensive compared to prices at airport
4.2
Friendly and warm staff. The place is great and cozy with great views. Food is good. Everything was safe and comfortable despite the Covid-19 situation. The place is peaceful and far away from it all.
The beds are a bit hard. And we don’t understand the Spanish way of making beds.
4.2
We always like to stay at a parador. It is not cheap, but it always has character or a good location. The restaurant is quite expensive for what you get, food is good. Over all a very good experience, we come back.
4.2
The room itself was fine with morning sun and a nice bathroom, too. Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed having it outside on the terrace. The service was very friendly and efficient.
Nevertheless, on the whole our stay was a positive experience.
The outstanding disadvantage of the Hierro Parador is its location. There is no sun in the late afternoon and early evening, so sitting on the balcony is less enjoyable. The second drawback is the location on the island. It means a 30 minute drive to Valverde every day wherever you go from there. And the same back.
Although we had communicated our preferences well in time, we did not get the room we had asked for right away and had to pack up and move on day two. And when we got home from a long walk at 3 in the afternoon on day three, our room had not been serviced yet. Used to Austrian meal times, we had to do without an evening meal at the Parador, as 8pm was too late for us to start dinner.

The floors were not in good order

Location and Staff_
Good place to have a drink, not to spend the night_
Cockroach in my room!
Lot of dust and grime in the corners_
Overpriced for a room with a parking view_
Overpriced food and beverage_
Super dirty hallway [carpet, painting, cleaning stuff outside my room [why?], scratched floor]_
For the price they got will be fair to keep the place clean and tidy_
Old doesn’t mean dirty!

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful location.
Great facilities, with outdoor pool.
Meals in hotel expensive and basic. 17€ for eight pieces of cheese with bread.
Breakfast choice limited for cooked items, French omelette only. No español omelette as no potatoes?
Balcony view of car park and very noisy.
4.2
Lovely remote location right on the coast, our upper floor balcony was heaven to sit out on, listening to the waves breaking / or watch the sun rising. Plenty of free parking. Good air con and WiFi. Interesting dinner menu with high quality produce.
Service in the restaurant could be improved, we waited over 20 minutes trying to catch a waiter's attention at the end of our evening meal, we walked out in the end. Only one English speaking TV channel (CNN news).
4.2
The setting, the room in front of the ocean it was just amazing
The conditions of the swimming pool were not ideal. Also it's expensive vs what it provides
4.2
The staff were very friendly and welcoming the bar staff or serving staff were run off their feet they really need to hire more people, very long waiting times on food and drinks. food at breakfast and was good.
Paid 206 euros per night for a low 3 star room breakfast only with no balcony overlooking a car park. hotel was in middle of nowhere so you do need a car. the pool is in a strange place in the grounds and there is no pool bar so you need to bring your own drinks down.
Easy fix would be fitting staircase and should be added.
4.2
The situation, the view, the room, the restaurant, the pool, the jaccuzi, the food and drinks, the service at réception and in restaurant :-) I hope to come back !
Nothing to say, everything was great !
