Well, it was occassional booking, but this stay has made our trip to Portugal. Our room, though costly, was (sorry for capsing) JUST GORGEOUS! Jacusi and the bed with ocean view, do one need to describe that in detailed )) ? The rest of furnishment of the room was in conformity with main gems of it. The breakfast was outstanding reach and of good quality. The coffee from the bar was very tasty (unlikely to other places in Portugal to our surprise ). Personnel is friendly and welcoming. Beach is at hand's reach. I would admit that designers and architects that projected this hotel have squeezed 200% out of it's location. Bravo!

For our last night in Portugal we were looking for a hotel room with sea view. In the description of the Well Hotel and Spa via booking it was also described that way. Therefore, we were very disappointed when we came to this room. Because to describe this view as sea view we feel as impudence! a room with a view of the parking place, view of a mound and an old hotel and in front a mud hole. When we asked at the reception if this could be correct, the ladies said that we could have a suite with sea view and Jacuzzi for an extra charge. And they were not friendly! This is not ok at a welcome in a hotel!

Stayed here for a second time. In the past 6 years they improved a lot of things. It was good before, it is an excellent home-feeling stay now. Highly recommended!

The facilities for cooking in the share kitchen were very poor not set up for ease of use. There was cooker, fridge etc but no pots, of utensils or oven gloves. I thought the room had kitchenette which was not the case

The whole experience

The breakfast was simply outstanding! The location was good, and we had no problem finding parking in the public parking in front of the hotel. The room was large including a nice seating area. The main bed was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities good.

In order of importance, considering the price of the room: - It seems the room had not been used for a while - there was a layer of dust everywhere in the room. - The room had no windows to look out giving it a cave-like appearance. While this was clearly indicated in the booking confirmation, we would not book this room again. - The sofa-bed was uncomfortable, and the door between bedroom and living room was stuck and could not be closed. Given that the room is offered as a "family suite" this should be fixed. - We had booked the room for 3 people, yet there were only 2 sets of towels in the room when we arrived.
