Sehr nettes Personal.

Very luxurious and comfortable
Abit out the way but peaceful

The room had obviously been redecorated. The air con was ok.
The stairs and lift to our room was filthy. Our room smelt of sewerage. It was quite disgusting. In its time this was obviously a beautiful old hotel, but is not what I expected of a 4 star Mecure hotel

The moment I walked into the hotel and reception area, I felt welcomed, and felt calm and at ease. Check-in was smooth and the lady was friendly and polite. They give you a map of the 7th area and beyond and explain about local attractions and buses etc - very nice touch.
My room was wonderful: clean, spacious, well-designed with plenty of air flow due to two sliding doors. A muslin curtain plus the main heavy blue outer one to use at night. Although I kept the door slighty open during the night for air and the muslin curtain was useful to keep any bugs out!
The bathroom was also very clean, and everything was in working order. Nuxe products were available, from shampoo, conditioner and body lotion (the honey smell was divine and will stay in my memory). This touch made my stay feel a little luxurious, but not OTT.
Bed was a great size, super compfy and duvet was the ideal tog for this time of year. Bedding was once again spotless and clean. Plenty of lighting is in the room from bedside lights (X2 each side), a floor and a desk lamp.
TV was a good size although I used my laptop most of the time.
Large wardrobe with more than enough space, and I had a mini-fridge in my room. Perfect for my water, juice, fromage and yoghurts!
There is a Nespresso coffee machine there for caffeine lovers.
The breakfast was excellent and there was a wide range of foods: scrambled eggs with bacon and sausages, to tasty yogurts, fresh salami and hams, to cereals, pastries and fresh and dried fruits.
I honestly could not fault this delightful hidden gem, and I will certainly be back. Must book soon!
Thank you to each and every staff member, for making me feel more than welcomed :)
Nothing!

The room was beautiful, very comfortable and cosy. The room was very very clean!
Too bad, a few hairs were still in the drain of the bath tubs, and came out when we filled up the bath. Small detail.

I love this hotel, his location and garden.
The room had twin beds. They were minimum sizes and were too small for adults. I was concerned about falling off my bed in the middle of the night. Hopefully the hotel will consider the next size up.

The staff is not homogeneous, some are really great at attending and in a good mood, like at the breakfast room, the cleaning lady or Halima at the reception.
The others, clearly caring less. Some are just bothered by you not knowing where the parking is or the neighborhood..

very comfy bed, nice room and balcony
a little remote and no restaurant as such, just
a small portable kitchen in the garden - the
food was pleasant but we didn’t know the
restaurant was being upgraded and not
available until 2023

The staff was very helpful and provided me with a towel to go to the beach before my check-in time. The hotel itself has a very cute courtyard and I enjoyed how you could bring breakfast outside. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked properly.
I thought that the pool was a bit basic, not very modern, but it does the job. Otherwise, nothing really bad to say about my one-night stay. Perhaps complimentary toiletries would be welcome, but I won't stay in a hotel just for that.

Small hotel away from the centre. In the process of having a big upgrade for the restaurant. Limited food available.
Nice and quiet.
Swimming pool.

Liked the room, loved the view from the room into the palm tree, pool size was nice.
Service was horrid. Someone else had a late check out, and because they basically double booked the room, this meant we could only check in 2h after when we were supposed to. Getting anything to drink at the hotel or pool was a fight. No smoking allowed on balcony, but the deep-fry smell of the fry joint in their garden wafts into the room.

The room and bathroom were nice, clean and tidy. The courtyard is usually quiet, except when other guests come home at 2am and chat outside your room.
Staff were inefficient, unfriendly and evasive. We enter reception they disappear into the back office, one works while other two catch up. Staff generally ignore you until you greet them, at breakfast we had the maintenance guy and the one responsible for the rubbish walk right by the buffet and help themselves to coffee. Other one was shouting that she would go for a coffee break too. It would be funny if it wasn't so expensive, welcome to Marseille.

Clean, comfortable and modern room, nice pool area and helpful staff.
Somewhat overpriced food in the restaurant.

We left our bags at the hotel early on and returned in the evening for our first day in Marseille. The person at reception was correct, and we looked forward to enjoying the facilities.
No one checked our vaccination status, "pass sanitaire" or anything like that at any time at this hotel. We only went to eat dinner at the restaurant one night, our last, and we were told bluntly by the waiter that "there is no more food" after we were seated as a family of three. (This was at 9pm, when the restaurant advertises dinner from 7-10pm nightly). To say that we were shocked is an understatement - especially as the families all around us were seated and eating dinner, or awaiting their food. Forced to order from a (much more expensive) delivery service, we waited in our room for the delivery - only to pass by the dining room later and see a new couple seated at the table where we had been, eating their dinner (!)
The next morning, humiliated, we asked at the reception what could be the reason for such treatment: they had no explanation. Unfortunately for us, we planned to return to this hotel a few days later, bringing our adult daughter with us. We are now frantically trying to cancel our upcoming reservation and get a refund of our money - as we have no interest in being treated this way at a hotel that we pay for, ever again. Until now, there has been no response from the hotel whatsoever. Presumably they plan to charge us in full anyway for our (now cancelled) further three day stay without waiving the fees - as would be the more gracious response to such sub-par treatment of its customers.

Breakfast was very nice, if a bit expensive. But the ease and amount of options made it worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful in resolving any issues we had.
The room we originally booked (sea view) was quite noisy. Coincidentally it was adjacent to a cleaner's storage closet, and the walls are not very soundproof. Additionally it was too warm not to have the window open but since it was above a street this caused much noise. However, the staff were very friendly and open and we were able to change to a garden-view room which helped a lot. Thanks!
