The staff at the reception desk was good, but there was no staff at the bar. When it started raining for one and a half hour and everybody had to get in. There was nobody at the bar for more that an hour. We asked the reception desk and they tried to contact staff but obviously they were ignored. Very bad service. Especially since we couldn't get out to some other place due to the thunder storms.

The main part of the room wasnt hoovered from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We loved our stay at the best western, the location was fantastic, on the marina with lots of bars and restaurants and a ten minute walk to central St Raphael. The pool was nicer then the pictures and the pool bar restaurant food and drinks were really nice; the bar staff could make any drinks the peach daiquiris were exceptional! Rooms clean and comfortable!

The only downside was the gym seemed to be open to members of the public. We went to use it and were told it was private, and there was some sort of class on.

The hotel was located about a 15/20 minute walk from the main town. So if happy to walk location is good. Plenty of restaurants nearby but not thy cheap. Although you are in the South of France. Pool Was decent. Breakfast €18 per person. A bit steep for me. Otherwise a nice hotel.

Bit strange, there was no shower curtain within the bath. Water obviously goes everywhere and a clean up job is required!

Port view room with balcony was a brilliant choice as we could make our own meals when we wanted using the nearby shops and have as good a view and table as any restaurant. Pool was brilliant and never busy. Breakfast was also brilliant as we were able to sit outside opposite the boats. There was a complete infrastructure around the hotel, bars, restaurants, baker, supermarket which we hadn't realised so there was no need to travel into St Raphael itself (a 20 min walk). In fact St Raphael people seemed to be coming to the port area as it was so good. The bus connection was a real bonus. There were 3 buses you could get (the 21 into town - 5mins, the C right up to old Roman Frejus where we used to stay on hols and the Promenade bus (free!!) which goes to the end of new Frejus port. Really quick, cheap and frequent enough when you timed it right. We used them a lot. 20 mins walk + more to go further might not seem much but in 28 degree heat and at our age it's hard going so the buses were a real bonus. We did side trips to St Tropez (boat) Cannes and Monaco (bus + train) and it was a doddle. We are planning this as our Cote D'azur base from now on. Great to stay at, easy to get to (Train plus one of the 3 buses) and really well priced and a much better option than paying over the odds for much less at one of the larger more well known resorts.

The whole stay was brilliant. We couldn't fault it. The hotel was really well maintained, had a bright open lobby area and was a great place to stay.

The location was good at the quieter end of town. Free parking until the 1st of June. The gym, while it was a real mish-mash of equipment from all ages, it did the job. The breakfast was pretty good. It was close by the marina restaurants and there was a Spar close by for any last minute things you may have forgotten. The bed was great and comfortable, I slept well and generally don’t sleep well in hotels.

We had paid extra for a balcony facing over the pool but it was room 167 and it faced mostly over the glass roof of the bar area. While the property is absolutely fine, inside it’s an old building that has had an upgrade so if you want a very modern hotel experience you may not be so happy.

Location. The staff on during the day were pleasant and helpful.

Misinformation in advance from Booking.com and from the hotel about the fact that sea view rooms would be unavailable during our stay due to renovation. After traveling 5,000 miles to get there, this was not good news- we were put in a small room that overlooked the parking lot. Also, there is a claim that there is ROOM SERVICE but the day we arrived, is was past 8 in the evening, the restaurant was closed, and there was no room service; we were exhausted from 2 days of travel. The desk manager was indifferent. In fact, there is no functional room service at this hotel - there are about 3 or 4 items available, all of which I believe come from a package and a microwave, not a restaurant. The people covering the desk at night are clueless and unhelpful. We do not believe this hotel deserves to call itself 4 star. It is a minimal, 3 star operation with a supposed attached "spa", a basic breakfast buffet and not much else.

Air condition was turned off from the whole hotel. Temperature in our room was like 30 c. We asked a cooler room but they couldn’t give us a room with same standard. We were downgraded to an other room with poor view. A big suprise was that there was a big party during the whole evening right under our new room. I went to the reception to ask how long the party will be running. Man in the reception got angry to me and said that the party was the reason they put us on the first room. What!! The first room was just 10 meters away and I believe that the noice would come there as well. We were given a third room but it was late night and we were too tired to move there. We were given free breakfast after I asked.

definitely not a 4 stars hotel, maybe a renovated 3, but still moldy smell that did not go away even after opening windows the AC was not working, not for warming neither for cooling

Perfect breakfast, we paid accommodation with breakfast. Location was perfect in the centre of town but still a bit aside from the most busy places was just nice for us and very peaceful and quiet. Hotel is nice base for trips or for relaxing time. Nice pool and public beaches just few steps aside. Parking is public but just front of hotel and from our point safe and perfect, we were there during season, so we have paid for parking, but very fair price for whole day parking.
