Strandnähe, sehr sauberes Wasser,Sauna , hervorragendes Essen

Die Matratzen waren für uns nicht so gut , Ist aber sicher individuell verschieden .

Die Lage am Großen-Döllnsee (Schorfheide) ist sehr schön. Den Wellness-Bereich sowie den Indoor-Pool mit Sauna haben wir nicht genutzt. Zimmer sind angemessen groß und ausgestattet. Sehr schönes Frühstücksbüffet. Tolle Lage für Wanderungen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in einem der 2 Seitenhäuser. Im Haupthaus (ehemaliges Gästehaus von Hermann Göring) befinden sich die Suiten.

Standard-Doppelzimmer mit Frühstück für EUR 154 ist nicht gerade günstig. Als Abendesse wurde ein Büffet für EUR 38 pro Person angeboten. Zum Glück konnte man alternativ aus 3 Gerichten wählen. Hier lagen die Kosten bei ca. 25 EUR pro Person. Das Weinangebot war überschaubar und ist ausbaufähig. Eine relativ große Anlage mit großem Auditorium und diversen Seminarräumen in einem separaten Tagungsgebäude.

Leider ist der Zugang zum Massagebereich nicht barierefrei.

Lake and surroundings are stunningly beautiful. Main building and swimming pool are well maintained and nicely situated. Breakfast is nice.

The rooms in the annex are plain for a three-star (mostly view to a parking lot, noise from the main road no tea/coffee maker or phone, worn mattress) and overpriced. The beach facilities have character but are in need of maintenance. Dinner guests are steered toward the expensive buffet, which doesn't have many vegetarian/vegan options. The first evening I was told only the buffet was available even though other guests were handed the menu. The second evening I was able to order from the menu after I pointed out the limited options on the buffet. There are no other restaurants within 10 kilometers. Some of the staff is very helpful and friendly, others not so much.

Everyone at reception was always kind and professional. We liked the activicites available (free of charge): boat and paddleboard rental, bikes, pool. The breakfast was fantastic-I always love a place that serves pancakes! The coffee is horrible. Nice location by a small lakebut far from anything else. The room was spacious and comfortable despite the small areas that showed age.

We got the "economy room", which is in a different building at the beginning of the property, and very obviously felt like the poor people's area. Most of the building houses hotel workers, the view from most of the hotel guest rooms is out to the parking lot/dumpster area. When we got our room, it smelled of cigarettes. They promptly gave us another room, but it still wasn't a great experience-did they nit notice when cleaning? Did they hope we wouldn't say anything? The economy room is only 3-star. The entire hotel is old, and even in the 4-star part you can see the details that need some love (or replacement). We were asked to reserve a table for the buffet dinner beforehand, which was confusing because they also have a standard menu that wasn't mentioned, so it just felt like they want you to book the most expensive option. Matresses could use replacement, the ones we had werent very comfortable.

The terrasse, the Park, and the lake were fantastic, the whole place is beautiful and very peaceful. We also loved the option to go paddling on the lake.

There were too few power outlets in the room

The breakfast was great and the view over the lake was fabulous. The surrounding country side was beautiful and very calm. I could imagine this being a great destination in the summer.

The economy room I booked was in a sad little side wing, completely separate from the main hotel structure. I don’t remember this being clear when I booked the room. The room was nice enough but the beds were really uncomfortable and there was just one sad, cheap, thin duvet on the bed. The sauna by the pool was not hot and the boats and paddle boards weren’t available to rent during my stay. Oh and the history of the place is really unsettling (I’ll let you do your own research) it’s hard to find charming, well decorated hotels in Germany, so I thought I struck gold, but with all the disappointments that kept rolling in, I would say it’s definitely not worth the price.

Location is awesome, with a spectacular lake in front of the Hotel, there is a sauna right in front of the lake from where you have a window from which you enjoy the view. Everyone working in the Hotel was nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious!
