very nice atmosphere, super location (walking distance from Dammtor railway station), very cosy lobby, breakfast room, cafe.

the room is very small, no place to work other than on the bed and the hotel is extremely noisy. You can hear the Neighbours talk. Nothing for people who like their privacy and / or quietness.

This is a beautiful 140 year old townhouse in one of the most glorious residential streets of Rothenbaum near the university. stilwerk is a design shopping mall near the Harbour which uses this hotel as a show room for some of their products. every piece from the chairs to the toilets you can order. Furthermore, the breakfast is small but delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. They offer bikes with which you can be in the city center in ten minutes.

boutique hotel not well suited for business needs: no table in the room to work, bathroom is not well designed /equipped eg no space to put things, no paper towls.

Location is excellent. beautiful boutique hotel decorated with taste and sophistication. Very close to the university of Hamburg (this is why I booked it).

There are several issues that I did not like: 1. Noise, noise, and more noise! I really struggled to sleep here. I heard everything from the reception and my neighbours arriving or departing at 4 am. This was a big issue for me because I had to work everyday (for 5 days) and get up early. 2. No desk in the room. It was difficult to use my laptop. Nice furniture but a bit useless from a practical point of view. 3. Breakfast was overpriced. It cost 19 euros. Everything organic and nice, but for that price, you expect a bit more. 4. The wall light interrupter was far away from the bed so I had to use my mobile phone's torch to go to bed after turning the light off... 5. I was told that a bottle of water was free (I specifically asked about this when I checked in). I got a total of 3 bottles during my stay. However, when I checked out, I was told that only the first bottle was free and that I had to pay 3 euros for the next ones. Unacceptable.

I had an amazing small room for one person with a bed on top. I absolutely loved it! It was so cozy and nice. The staff was very friendly and polite. The whole building is a beautiful old house stylishly renovated. I would definitely return again.
