I was born and raised in Jinan until I was 18, so I’m very confident in my review. InterContinental Jinan is the best hotel you can find unless you need to stay near the CBD for work. It’s right in the heart of the city, or the old town, as some would call it. It’s very close to great food, malls, grocery stores, and popular sights. We've stayed here three times, and we’ll continue to choose InterContinental Jinan in the future. The interior design is very similar to the Four Seasons Beijing, but the atmosphere here feels much friendlier. We love the breakfast buffet, have hosted family meals with their dinner buffet, and enjoyed the rooftop bar, which offers a great view of the city on summer nights. I know there are other big hotel brands in Jinan, but I honestly evaluated all of them (location, convenience, etc) and found InterContinental to be the best. To sum up, even though we have family we could stay with in Jinan, we feel more at home at the InterContinental. Thanks to everyone at the front desk; we’ve never once had a bad experience with reception.
To be honest, not much to complain about. One of our suite’s bathroom doors was installed inside-out, but I don’t think that’s a big issue. I have to admit, Jinan isn’t as big a city as I remembered from childhood—it feels more like a town compared to a metropolis. But enjoy the warm, welcoming vibe and the fantastic local food! We never experienced any cleanliness issues, and the cleaning staff were incredibly friendly every time we needed help.

The friendly staff and the helpful people around in the hotel especially the concierge, he arranged a taxi to pick us to the TAI mountain and he was so worried about our safety when he didn't hear from us for long, very kind and considerate service rendered

The buffet was amazing and the location was perfect for exploring DaMing lake and the surrounding area. There is also plenty of shopping and places to eat near the hotel.

The hotel staff was very very friendly and the facilities were exactly as depicted. The bed was comfortable and room service was great with care in their service.

Great location with lots to do around including a fabulous food street.
The room was great overall but not thoroughly cleaned before my stay. There was a used cotton swab on my floor and the hangers were extremely dusty, to the point I didn't want to hang anything.
The cooling system in the room did not get below 24 C even with it set to high and 16 C.
At breakfast they cleared my food while I got up for a drink.

Staff were extremely friendly and professional! Rooms are spacious and lovely hotel.
The rooms get very hot and stuffy, the AC is not big enough for the room. They should look to install windows that guests and can open and close or invest in better AC’s for the rooms.

The room and the location.
Had to book a time slot for the swimming pool. One day it wasn’t available, another day a children’s swimming lesson took up four lanes. Wanted to go to the champagne bar, but it was closed both days. Wanted to have a drink on the roof terrace, but we’re told we couldn’t as all of the tables were reserved.

A very central convenient location near many shopping malls. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming, especially Ms. Yao, she speaks english very well and she is a very helpful person. The room was well maintained, comfortable and spacious. Gorgeous pool. I will definitely be staying there again and I highly recommend.
