The rooms were larger than expected and very comfortable. The adjoining restaurant/cafe was good - one of the best meals I had (truffle spaghetti) The bus stop outside for Florence an absolute bonus!!!

Unfortunately the pool was out of service

The breakfast was 100% . The staff could not have been nicer . it was a little hard to find at the start , but after a while i got used to it. It would be better if you travled by car... i liked it... but many laddies might not..

The swimming pool was not in the best of shape and thats putting it mildley. it looked like it had not been used in a right few years.. there was about a foot of water in the bottom and it was yellow..

At booking application, distance from Florence to the Hotel was 17km. In Fact, we spent 1 hour on-road. Route count about 50km, and half of the distance in the mountain road.

Little town 5 km from Greve in Chianti. Hotel - old building wit original furniture, but nice. Free parking before the hotel. Rich breakfast. Very kind and helpful owners wife. The country except cement factory (not far from hotel) is very nice. 10km to beautiful town Montefioralle.

Little village near the cement factory. We have arrived in wednesday, the restaurant was closed (free day) and nowhere in village restaurants or shops to buy some food. And no wine tasting in Chianti !!! (we were awaiting to taste Chianti wine !!! :-( ). Dont go to this destination in wednesday!!! (In description on booking.com was not this information) To resolve the situation you must use car to go in some Castello, but you are limited in wine tasting :-) ...
