Outside was under construction, View with construction, too bad nobody told us, was not on site booking.com. Pool was also under construction Parking is hard too find, Parking Garage is only for a small car

The location was perfect, and the vue from my room was beautiful. The pstaff was really nice

The furniture was a bit outdated but confortable

The hotel feels institutional. The room had no view..at all. I felt closed in. The furniture is very old. The breakfast was ok but meager.

The Hotel La Margherita is a perfect base for exploring Alghero: the old town and the port are just minutes away. The hotel was scrupulously clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Check -in was fine and prompt.

The builders noise started far too early - sometimes by 8.30 in the morning. Breakfast was minimalist continental and poor quality coffee and slow toast. Sometimes no fresh fruit available. The bed itself was too hard and I asked for an extra pillow but it never arrived!

Nice hotel, great location and really nice staff.

There was building works. First 2 mornings we were woken early (830am) by sounds of drilling and hammering right above us. Spoke to staff who moved us straight away to another room. No further noise issues after the move.

Nice and helpful staff and good location close to old town. Our room had fantastic sea view.

Got an upgrade to room with balcony. I think the one without would be really dark and might be still under construction (outside picture). Location is in walking distance to ocean and city. Very convenient. 10 car Garage parking for 10 euros per night couple of meters around the corner. Pool was nice and warm, just 50 euro for 1 hr exclusive use is half of the daily roomrate. If you book through their website might be included, but not sure. Breakfast was nothing special Joghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, toast, bread rolls, 2 meat cuts and one cheese slice. Might be better to get something from the grocery store across the street (coop)

Indoor pool is equal to spa and should be listed at 50 euro instead of additional charge, since I would not expect it half of the room rate for 1hr. We ended up paying 40 euros. Simple room with no charm like wall art, just a bed, closet, mini-fridge, chair, desk, TV. Since it is so white I had the feeling that I was in a hospital. So had to step outside on the balcony to see the ocean and feel good. There was a big crane in front of the window and a sign, sorry for the construction noise, but thankfully they did not work while we where staying there.

the hotel was spotless, and location was excellent

the breakfast, the charge for the pool, no tea / coffee making facilities in room. bed was extremely hard and room was cold and pillows were flat with no filling

The room was lovely, shower was excellent (although looked very dated). Two ladies in Reception were fantastic and so helpful.

I could hear a non-stop beat from the gym/bar(?) underneath my room. Drove me insane. SUPER disappointed that the pool was 40 euros for one hour. Absolutely ridiculous. I booked there to spend the day in the pool, and check out the spa, but instead felt ripped off. It was soo disappointing that it was so expensive for me, especially since the Italians I met staying in the same hotel got the pool for free.

overall a good experience, friendly staff, central location, clean rooms, easy to park

very basic facilities, but ok for a short stay. Spa is an extra cost, to be booked separately
