A really warm welcoming to the hotel by the gentlemen at reception, A big smile and offered me and my partner a glass of prosecco 🍸😀😀 on the house which we thought was a delightful touch, The bedroom was super clean and had everything we needed. The location is absolutely fantastic and free parking. Perfect

Friendly reception
Beds super uncomfortable with old mattress. I almost hurt my back when dropped to the bed from a sitting position, I felt the bed frame hit my back. The pillows were a joke, not sure you can call them pillows. No day curtains, only night blinds. The alarm went off at around 5AM in the morning and was on for a few minutes. Not sure what happened but nobody evacuated and there was no explanation about it next day whatsoever.

Location nice, staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and tidy
There could be a bigger TV because you can hardly see from the bed, and in general the building is a bit to renovate, old style, but for such a price it is ok.

Hotel currently being renovated. Stayed 2 nights for a fantastic price via booking.com. Hotel staff were lovely. Didn't have a hair dryer in my room but staff lent me their own one which I thought was very kind. Hotel location is perfect and can walk everywhere leaving your car in the free parking. Would definitely stay again..hope they keep the prices low!
There was only one bath towel and this was tiny. We asked for another one and for fresh ones on the second day and they were more like hand towels!

View over the sea.
Away from the noise from the bar.
The breakfast was very good
The mattress was old, very badly worn, I was basically sleeping on bed springs.
Evening meals not upto standard expected.

We stayed at the suncliff after being told we couldn't stay at the Mayfair.
The staff were excellent the bathroom in room very nice, obviously the sea view, breakfast was excellent and good value for money and the meal in The Cumberlands restaurant was excellent, recommended by the staff on reception at suncliff when we arrived so thankyou for that.all the staff were amazing including the excellent cleaners
Not enough staff at breakfast time ,with coach loads of people in they did a great job, but where alittle overrun I thought.
The room had a lovely bathroom and loved the balcony overlooking the sea.,but the bed needs a new mattress, could feel the springs and didn't sleep well for the 2 nights ,curtains too small for the window so street lights shone in ,which didn't help with sleeping and the furniture had seen better days

the staff, no one was at reception when I checked in and out and I just left the keys on the desk the staff didn’t know much English and it took a few hours to get a towel to the room and when housekeeping came they didn’t know any English so it was really had to communicate

going home
we were moved to the sun cliff hotel as ours had maintenance issues, paid £85 for a double room and didn’t get it, room was not worth the money at all it was also freezing, peeling wall paper, cotton buds on floor by bed
would 100% like a refund as it was not worth my time or money at all

No atmosphere...very functional but no soul. Was promised parking but there was no room ...not good for disability...noisy people next door kept me awake best part of the night...only one teabag and one tiny carton of milk...bathroom fan could have raised tbe dead. Sheet had a hole in it. Chair in room was only fit for soneone made of metal.
The only member of staff that caught my attention was the older chap in breakfast riom who was warm welcimibg and genuinely friendly. Give him a 50% raise and get him to train your staff

the taxi driver was nice
We got changed to a different hotel, sister property, we were under the impression it was an upgrade. the staff lied about the price of the breakfast buffet. it ended up being very expensive for 2 breakfasts over 2 mornings. the quality of the food was not good. the coffee was disgusting. the staff were rude. it was full off old people, both nights we stayed there was entertainment and bingo, not once did we get an invite. the hotel was quite far from the coach station, it’s “within walking distances” if you haven’t got large luggage. this still took half an hour. overall I wouldn’t even give a 1/10. probably a .5/10.00. the swimming pool & sauna was disappointing.

It was ok but really is full of OAP’s which is fine if you just want a place to sleep.
Good location.

Location ok for our needs.
Night receptionist changed rooms for us at 2am.
Parking charge from Booking.com, free if booked direct with hotel, also breakfast charges cheaper at hotel.
First room was dirty, broken blinds and uncomfortable bed. Jewelry found in drawer, so hadn't been checked/cleaned. pictures taken and shown to receptionist. He gave me managers email address and told me to email her direct. I never had a response from her, not even a courtesy reply. More dissapointed with that than everything else.

it had a nice pool, the reception area was nice.
It looks very run down, the rooms were old and tatty, there were holes in the walls and the bathrooms were grim it was also really hot even though the heating was off. One lady at the hotel reception always looked unhappy and most the time was very blunt and rude.
