Breakfast was optional I only had continental breakfast this was yogurts Juices etc well we had apple juice thats it we had 2 yogurts for all the customers not impressed , The food at night was ok curry night on Wednesday so great except they only had 2 mild options not the 5 listed not ran just not available not impressed. Had the seabass which was a bit bland to be honest , its ok they had IPA hand pulled oh no we don't have any of the three hand pumps working and probably wont for a while. lighting was weird could turn light on by door but not off by bed if turned on by bed all was ok strange the cold water in the room wasn't no matter how long you ran the cold tap for the water was always warm suspect issue with tap asked the hotel to check it out but was told the cold water tank is on the roof so you know ? so all in all not a good stay.

The room was a little small but quite adequate for a one night stay.

Although it was not a cold day the heating in the room was turned up and we had to keep the window open to feel comfortable. Disappointing that a Greene King hotel did not have draught beer available: 3 handpumps but not with any beer.

Everything was really good and staff were really friendly and helpful

Not much. No cooling fan was in the room considering the room is not air conditioned, very uncomfortable nights, finally request for a fan, the fan supplied was a small cube heater. Guest comfort is no high on the establishments agenda, access to WiFi requires some very personal information, TV channels are totally unreliable,with no signal no reception.

Clean room in quiet, cool location. Comfortable bed.

Door from reception into motel was very heavy & did not close unless pushed therefore noisy when people returned late at night. One corridor was roasting hot because all the lights were on permanently & the radiator was on full which given the 30 degree temperatures was ridiculous & also wasteful economically & environmentally.

Option for proper cooked breakfast… Not that I took advantage of the facility but had planned to. My personal circumstances and timings meant I didn’t have breakfast but I had planned to and was pleased the opportunity was there if things in my timeframe allowed. I liked the cleanliness of my room and bathroom especially. I liked the bed…. Had amazing sleep both nights and after being home 2 days now, I still feel relaxed and refreshed from my trip away. I think I had value for money and got exactly the comfort and peace I hoped for of an evening. If the standard had been any less there would’ve been room for complaint…. It was a fair price and fair condition and service all round. Get what you pay for and I think an average standard was met. Not above and beyond and not below par… So I’m a happy customer. I had a great weekend with my motorcycle club and just enjoyed my time away… Easily pleased when the basics are met in a transaction 😁

Nothing I didn’t particularly dislike…. It was what I paid for and I didn’t expect or want 5star service so it was a good budget stay and very comfortable for my needs and requirement. I’m a heavy tea drinker so 2x teabags and 2x milk portions are a pleasant token gesture to settle in. The gent who worked there was fantastic and when asked he made sure I didn’t go without milk… I had already supplied my own tea and milk…. Milk went off and he got me plenty of milk packets to see me through the rest of my stay. Kudos to him. I had initial concerns about security of my motorcycle but parked under CCTV cameras and secured bike with 2 locks as well as steering lock and alarm. There was another biker staying there so we kept our bikes together. Our community has a pack mentality even if we are strangers to begin with. All in all I was very happy as a solo traveller and never see the point in criticism for the sake of being critical when something is perfectly ok and what it should be.
