Great little closed lane with wonderful shops and great outdoor seating for pubs

Big room. Beautiful manor. Super friendly staff. Has a restaurant and a bar. Tasty breakfast.

The location, lounge and dining areas plus the courtyard were excellent and made a long term stay there most enjoyable and relaxing. The location to local amenities and buses was a bonus.
To make the hotel perfect, it would be good if rooms had air conditioning for summer months. It was a little bit stuffy at night time, even when leaving the window open.

Very convenient and relatively quiet location for exploring Oxford and adjacent areas to the North.
The Continental Breakfast offering could have been improved, for example by including fresh fruit and regional cheeses.

Excellent restaurant varied menu and lovely dining room, helpful staff. Location is ideal, 20 minute walk into the centre of Oxford and bus stops nearby
Dead hanging baskets outside and some neglected maintenance throughout the property. Planting outside, including hanging baskets has been abandoned, well maintained hanging baskets would be wonderful but just removing the dead ones would be a big improvement. Other examples of neglect include; there is access to the corridor from a flat roof with tar footprints on the carpet where someone has walked across wet tar on the roof and onto the carpet. These stains could easily be removed. There has obviously been a water leak above the dining room, the dining room ceiling is stained, it needs re-painting. This detracts from an otherwise lovely room. These little jobs would make a huge difference to the hotel.

Very friendly welcome. Food was good, staff all very helpful and friendly. Fantastic location and good car parking facilities with bus stop straight into Oxford practically outside.

Free parking and a 15 minute walk from the centre of Oxford. An excellent full breakfast. Friendly staff. The room was in a new extension and was fine although a bit small.

Comfortable room. Facilities good. Location excellent. Car parking useful. I was allowed to check in early which was helpful.
There was a knocking noise at several periods during the night which kept me awake, I think there was possibly something wrong with the radiators. I reported it to the receptionist before I left.

Dated interior. Very uncomfortable beds (I’m young and have no back problems but suffered afterwards - I’d be careful if you have back problems!)
Someone walked into my room in the morning (member of staff) as they thought it was empty. Very apologetic but it raises the question of safety - what if there was a fire? You need to be able to account for all the guests.

The entire hotel staff was very hospitable and warm. Hotel was well placed in Oxford.
Hotel rooms were cramped up and tiny. Washrooms were just the size of a human fitting inside.

we were on ground floor, room above you could hear footsteps (sounded like jumping)and the television going, called reception and they called the room above , and they did settle down after sometime , staff did offer to move us but in the end we stayed in the room
