The beds have curtains that can be pulled around the whole bed area which provides a great deal of privacy. The bed itself was comfortable and clean. The light next to your bed can be dimmed rather than just on or off which is nice and unique. The receptionist was very lovely and friendly. The hostel itself is located practically, only 7 minutes from Queen Street station and a few minutes near a row of reataurants and shops. Room nice and warm.

The carpet was a little unclean down the side of my bed. Maybe a good idea to hoover up on the sides of the bed, by the skirting boards. I was put in a room with a group of girls who were travelling together. They were no bother but I generally prefer to stay in a room with other soo travellers if possible. Still, not a big issue at all. I didn't opt for the breakfast but I saw that it is £6. It could be cheaper in comparison to other hostels. Otherwise, a very good hostel, and worth the money.

The location is not the best.. also, the kitchen was out of order, and we just noticed that after buying fresh food to cook.

Location was great - about a 15 min walk to the centre and very close to the train station The rooms were clean Really affordable to say that we stayed over the festival weekend

I’ve stayed at SafeStay Edinburgh and they had a bar and entertainment which would be a great bonus for a place predominantly for young people

Comfy bed

Wifi in the basement dorms non existent even if they say WIFI EVERYWHERE. Simply not true. A kitchen would have been nice, or even a kettle. :(( Also.. was told tap water was not drinkable as its from a tank, yet no signs saying DO NOT DRINK. a ploy to make u buy water. I guess it was mains water as was fully pressurised!! Also, being UK they must supply free tap water!!!

Nice and tidy room with own toilet and shower. Good temperature of water in the shower. Shower gel and shampoo was provided. Comfortable bad, fresh and clean.

It would be great to add some hangs inside the room, so we could hang our coats.

No access to the kitchen to cook my own food, not even a microwave or kettle, which was very inconvenient for me. Also, there was no wifi signal in my room (basement).
