Location was good…..staff was very kind. We were given an upgraded room.
The carpet had not been vacuumed between guests.

Room was smelling. Heat pump was good enough to cover the area to warm. Coffee cups were cracked. Kettle was not working properly. We had kids, they were shivering because the room was not warm enough even after 3 hrs, I requested motel owner to provide another heater. He explained that all unit has new heat pump, after requesting several time he get me small oil heater which was okay because we kept next to bed. Over all experience was bad.

Nice clean and tidy facilities, is a prime location on the lake front and also had pools/hot tub. Added bonus of being pet friendly so we could bring our dog along.
A little far from the city center so transport required to get to/from the center I.e taxi/uber.

Excellent location next to lake and through courtyard to pool. Then quick walk to sailing club for pizzas and drinks watching sun set. Fabulous.

location is perfect , it’s quiet , pool is amazing and spa pool , love how close to the lake it is
the rooms are pretty run down tiles cracked and lifting in the bathroom , paint peeling , don’t bother getting a room with a bath only 1 person can have a bath a night as you run out of hot water so no good for family we were told wait 2 hours for water to heat back up , not ideal after a long day of adventure

Very modern and clean room with excellent amenities. Car parking close to the room. Some view of the lake from our room. Management very friendly and helpful, sending useful email in advance with places to eat and things to do.

Location was great, on Lake Taupo.
Room was a bit tired and dated and could have been cleaner.
Had a really strange smell too, a bit like wet dog, Facilities were ok, you had everything you needed, it was ok for a 1 night stopover.
We went for dinner at an English Pub called the fox and hounds, a short walk to the other end of the lake, the food was fantastic, we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was, we had Salmon which was awesome, would highly recommend for good food with a nice atmosphere.
