breakfast was excellent. the place is relaxing
a bit uncomfortable to walk from spa room pass by dinning room (mang people) then go up stairs to my room

Quaint hotel remodelled from a chateau. Staff were very friendly and room was comfortable and beautiful. Soundproofing was great as we didn't hear any noise from the neighbours.
Breakfast selection was rather limited as you can only choose 1 out of 4 mains.

Stunning gardens, Old estate building and lovely large room. Large jacuzzi bath showrr and double sink. Air con, terrace with morning sun private from other rooms. We stayed in the Herutage suite. Large bed and small sofa area. Cookies on arrival and shown the facilities available, water in fridge daily, pool sauna and gym very nice. Breakfast included. Option to book 5 course dinner 1 night. Good driving distance to vineyards and very close to Havelock Town which has great restaurants cafes and shops.
Breakfast was inconsistent and the staff weren't as knowledgeable as expected. The menu and format for breakfast changed daily. The 5 course dinner was supposed to include wine tasting but we didn't get that. I felt it was a bit expensive. You definitely need a car to get around as nothing close by or safe enough to walk to. No option to not have room serviced.

The location was beautiful.
We were very disappointed with breakfast. There was a staff shortage… and a food shortage! The waitress was extremely rude and she made no effort to look after us !!!

Breakfast was excellent. The chef made a cook to order breakfast as well as a continental buffet was provided while you waited for your main breakfast. Our breakfast was included with our room.
There was NOTHING we didn't like. If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would!! It was as great as any 5 stay hotel we have previously stayed at.

The breakfast was beautifully laid out, and the fruit etc. was really fresh. It was also delightful to look out at the garden from the conservatory.
We chose a 3 course menu, and were not given a menu card to let us know what we were having.
I also thought our room was quite plain. I know we did not book a suite, but I think $450 for one night is quite expensive, and I did have a very high expectation because my brother and his wife had stayed there (for less), and had a suite, and all the trimmings and raved about it. Also being upstairs meant we had to bring our luggage down, and being in our 80's that was quite hard.

Could have done with a pot of hot water as tea's were rather strong and more milk,
otherwise most enjoyable and set us up for the day.

This was a wonderful luxury hotel in a fantastic setting. It was everything that the website said it was - the room, the standard of care, the peaceful and high quality surroundings were all first class and of course the wonderful degustation dinner was exceptional.

Very friendly staff. Dinner was exceptional. Sauna and fitness area was very nice and clean.

We were offered continental and cooked breakfast which was unexpected. We took the continental and were very satisfied. The location was was handy to everything we wanted to do.

The venue was lovely, the staff were so helpful and friendly and it is a great location with top amenities. Excellent food and drinks and the small touches made all the difference. We will return. Highly recommend :-)
