Everything especially the thermal spa and views of the lake. Stunning.

We had a balcony room with a private balcony with lovely views of the lake. The room was spacious. The thermal pool was a wonderful 34C in July so we had a quick dip. Under floor heating was great and the room was warm. It was less than 30 minute walk to the CBD with plenty of eateries. We also walked 30 minutes to our boat for the lake cruise. The hosts were informative, helpful and friendly.
The sofa bed was a bit old and saggy but not terrible

We absolutely loved this thermal lodge. We unfortunately did not get to use the thermal hot tub because we were too busy, but it was nice to have that feature as an option. The staff/owner of the property was so nice and welcoming, even with our late arrival. The lodge was in a fantastic location! We were able to walk a block over and be at the crystal clear lake. It was about a mile from the downtown. The decor of the lodge was beautiful.

Great communication from owners. We received a text to let us know our room number and where the key will be. Location was great as it was close to town. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had the room with the private spa, however we didn't get to use it as we were out seeing the sights. We really liked their information pack as it had all the food places and sightseeing activities and the various gyms in Taupo. I would recommend staying here.
Although there were enough parking spaces. It would be good to have allocated parking.

Lovely view of the lake and spacious room. Easy to find from the road and well lit at night
Not enough carparks and was nowhere for me to park at night so was out on the road and got soaked getting from car to unit. Key was left in the door for us on arrival, even though we checked in at 4pm. Anyone could of gone into our unit... bathroom window wouldn't shut properly and there was a huge cockroach in their that i had to squash. Tiled floors felt greasy underfoot
