The restaurant is very expensive.

We were able to feel the history the whole building went through. I think it is a must for people who want to know about the history of Vietnam

I do suppose that they could do better on their restaurant services. Their restaurant, of course, is not their main attraction.

Super close to center of everything and 5 mins walk to Da Lat Night Market. Breakfast included everyday. Friendly and kind staff.

Didn't set up the baby cod as requested.. I need to call to tell the staff to bring it in. I travel with my baby, I really needed to use the fridge to store baby food but the 5 ⭐ Hotel doesn't have one.

Its location and grandeur is something else

The rooms at the back are very noisy and the beds have toppers and duvets that smell like people have been sweating in it. The staff acknowledged our complaint about that and upgraded us to another room where the duvets where removed, so the bed was quite hard but still better than smelly. All in all they made every effort in their way to please us. We had a nice stay but it’s only fair to realize that you pay a high price to be able to stay at such a special building that is very costly to be maintained in such an impeccable (albeit ofcourse outdated) state. We were a bit disappointed by Da Lat itself, we had higher expectations of the city and the surroundings. So in that perspective our stay at the Dalat Palace hotel turned out to be the highlight of our visit.

Vietnamese English was difficult to understand

The hotel needs some money spent on it. A modern lift needs to be installed. Locks to the door should be uprated. Some may think the key is charming. But it was a comical struggle to get it to turn in the lock all the time. New beds needed. Incredibly uncomfortable mattress - the softest i have ever tried to sleep on in many international hotels throughout the world. Very disappointing breakfast. Limited range of choice and not appealing to the foreigner customer. None of the kitchen staff coud understand the word "poached" as in "poached egg." Laughable really. Cheap and nasty toiletries in the bathroom. Shameful really.

Central location, close to night market, very nice gardens, impressive looking building.

Too many steps, no lift, outdated inside, not comfortable bedding, poor mattress not good for overnight sleep.

There bathroom not up to the mark and hot n cold Tập not work properly . Volume of water comes from shower very low .

The view is wonderful. It is truly a French heritage. The location is also good, near Xuan Huong lake. You could ask for an ironing set to do it yourself.

* The fat woman stand in the reception and the old bellboy were not friendly to guests. They replied to our simple askings unfriendly and superficially. * No welcoming drinks when checking in. * The lights in our room were yellow lights so it was hard to see things clearly. * The TV in our room was set to play the hotel video whenever we turned it on, so difficult to change to the original television channel. * The pillows in our bed were so big but really soft, when you lay down, you could feel your head in the middle of the pillow with all the cotton inside moved to 2 sides. * The morning buffet has not met the level of the 5-star hotel, not having diverse types of food, only the basic with bacon, eggs, sausage, etc. * The food line and the drink line were located in different rooms, but the hotel did not give a sign to direct the guests.
