Attention détaillée et soignée. Ce fut une expérience incroyable. Nous avons adoré l’onsen traditionnel et le service de kimono. Les chambres sont authentiques et très belles. Nous avons très bien dormi dans les futons.

Excellent emplacement pour ce grand Ryokan aux prestations de grande qualité. Chambre très grande avec de très bonnes prestations. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très copieux.

This was a lovely hotel and I would stay there again. The staff spoke English which we really appreciated and were really helpful with all our questions. We let the hotel know in advance that we needed a gluten free breakfast and they went to an amazing effort to accommodate this requirement. Both the gluten free breakfast and the normal western breakfast were delicious. The twin bed room was really spacious and comfortable, way more room than we expected. The hotel is in an excellent location and only a couple of blocks from the station and the old town.

Super schönes Hotel mit exzellentem Service! Alles bestens organisiert, alle sind sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das japanische Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, eine große Auswahl an kleinen Häppchen. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und man bekommt sogar einen Aromaduft mit Lämpchen ins Zimmer, wenn man das möchte.

Die Uhrzeiten für das Frühstück variieren zw. 07:00 und 08:00 Uhr. Viel zu früh um so viel zu essen... Dass man bei Verlassen des Hotels seinen Schlüssel abgibt und seine Schuhe bekommt, ist sicher ein toller, familiärer Service, aber hat für mich einen leichten Beigeschmack von Kontrolle – ich bevorzuge doch eher die Anonymität eines "normalen" Hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay at this ryokan. The location was perfect, and the rooms were very spacious. The common areas and public baths were also nice to have and we utilized them very well during our stay. The staff was always very helpful and we appreciated the little details like scents, snacks, and tea to help us sleep.

The staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. They went the extra mile, with kimonos to wear and aromatherapy essences.

The staff were so lovely and were incredibly accommodating. They even changed breakfast for me when I told them I had allergies. The onsen was beautiful, and the rooms were decorated pleasantly.

We loved the staff. They were friendly and super attentive. Made you feel like you were the only guests. All be it they made me cry with the sweetest parting gift. There are so many details which we love. Like they take your suitcases and washes the bottoms. But they bring them to your room. You have to take your shoes off and leave them at the door when entering. They know which shoes are yours and collect them and bring them to you at the door when you are wanting to go outside. All these details made the hotel stay feel like luxurious and very expensive hotel. When in fact the price was reasonable. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The best beds we have slept in since getting to Japan. Room was large and spacious.

They took the beds away during the day. We didn't realise... which think was our fault for not reading the leaflet correctly. Just made coming back to the hotel for a pit stop, and rest, not really comfortable.

Oyado Koto No Yume is a fantastic Japanese style inn located in close vicinity to Takayama station, restaurants selling Takayama’s speciality Hida Beef and the morning markets. The staff were extremely professional and hospitable as they would see us off whenever we left and greet us whenever we returned. They were accomodating to our needs as they provided us with free umbrellas as there was heavy rain during the time we checked out and dried our wet shoes when we checked in. The room was extremely spacious and featured Japanese tatami mats and provided Yukatas which provided a unique and fun experience

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal just a few mins walk from station. For those planning to go shirakawago i would highly recommend to spend at least 1 night in Takayama.

Everything. Quality of service and small details in the room are truly that of a high end Four Seasons. the staff are incredibly nice. it looks much better than the images online. The reception area is beautiful with a fireplace and free herbal teas. They have helped us wear the traditional dress and we enjoyed taking photos with our Japanese outfit. The onsen is great with a small outdoor area. they provide everything needed from a small basket to carry your stuff from the room to nice products to clean and moisture your face, hair dryer, brush, hair ties… we had a traditional room with tatamis and at around 7pm 2 nice ladies came to prepare the room and put some essential oils in a burner and decorated the pillows with origamis The room has a coffee machine and a tea set + a box of delicious macha tea and selection of other teas the location is fantastic - 4min walk from Takayama bus and train station I dream about coming back to this magical place
