An absolute gem of a place to stay. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and just a very very short walk to the town centre. Nothing was too much trouble to our excellent hosts and breakfast was fabulous.

Immediately after booking, I realised that the room was on the 2nd floor, but the owner very kindly changed to a 1st floor room so that my wife didn't have too many steps to climb. Small good kitchen next.

Blinds & curtains (good quality) but let a small amount of light in at the sides. Was only a problem because my wife wakes easily.

The staff was very friendly.

Parking was a bit difficult

Everything at the property was exceptional, from check in to check out, wonderful breakfast and exceptional hosts, they even allowed us to use the parking permit till 4pm the next day after checkout- definitely come back ♥️

Everything was brilliant

We arrived at avoncot early but wasn’t a problem room was ready and we were welcomed by a lovely lady. We were going to the horse meeting which was a 15 min walk away. Room was lovely and warm and so clean. Breakfast was lovely very good value for money.

What a lovely guest house. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable room with everything you might need to enjoy your stay. Avoncot is in a great location, just a few minutes walk into town. Car parking is pretty simple, in a nearby street. A had a lovely cooked breakfast served in the dining room. The owners are very friendly and helpful. All in all a really lovely, relaxing stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Helpful and nice owners. Ok familyroom, kids got their own beds. Coffee and tea availible in the room. Breakfast cooked by order, english or continental. Great location close to everything! Loved the Town.

location was good, I loved the idea of having use of a full kitchen whilst staying there. I didn’t use it, only for a cuppa but I would probably make use of it another time.

The breakfast room was nice and clean and a range for fruit, jams. We ordered the breakfast at a set time for the morning and it was there with coffee & tea.

Lovely room. Having breakfast served with a choice of Full English or Continental was delightful. Friendly host and hostess.

Our hostess was very helpful in sorting out parking when we arrived by car around 10:30 - despite being very busy with the handover between outgoing and incoming guests. Very comfortable accommodation and warm, friendly service.

There was no aspect of our stay that we did not like.

Great choice of breakfast Excellent location walking distance to town centre and all the tourist attractions and restaurants. An additional bonus was the owner showing us some private parking. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities

Would have preferred if the layout of the room accommodated 2 single beds being moved together as we weren’t able to get a double

Was all perfect. Room was spacious and very clean. Location was great - close to theatres and all points of interest. Diana was absolutely lovely. Even walked back to our car with us to make sure we were in the right spot - some free parking on the streets near the property or 3 quid if a permit is required (can get a permit from Diana). She also helped carry our luggage back to the property. Great options for breakfast - continental or full English. There’s also a bottolo directly over the road.
