Our stay here was good overall. The host Karim is such a cool guy - talkative, funny, respectful and friendly. We loved meeting him. He even made an early Check-In possible & made sure everything was okay during our stay. Right outside the hostel there's lots of bars, restaurants, pubs, busses and shops. The train station is within a walking distance. Our main reason for travelling was a concert at the "Rescue Rooms" and "Rock City" which are also both nearby, in case that's important information for you. The rooms and bathroom were really clean too. Downstairs is a Tapas bar which serves delicious food! (great for vegans, but then again Nottingham has vegan spots everywhere so don't worry about that in case you were wondering :)

It gets really noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper, you might have problems with that. Beds are not that comfy. One of ours was creaking with every small movement. Also, the bedding is small, so if you're a tall person, you shouldn't be a freezing one haha

Ideal location, friendly atmosphere, good kitchen, clean shower and toilets. The manager, Karim, is a great guy and very helpful.

The intercom at the entrance is not very good. Some doors could use a drop of oil on their hinges to prevent squeaks when people come and go in the night. Everything else was great!

The person in charge gave me the wrong code for the door when I came back from my dinner I had to wait for ten minutes until someone very rude gave the right code after having to identify myself. Kettle did not work. I was never given the WiFi code Noone from reception to ask from 10.30pm to 10.30am.

Midtown Lodge has a great atmosphere, starting from the warm welcome to the friendly communal space. It is clean and comfortable. Extra efforts were made to accommodate my bike within the lodge!

There is nothing I can think of that could be improved.

Very good location, basically the centre of the city. The shared toilet and room are quite clean also not very noisy. Suitable if you are only staying in Nottingham for one night.

I find the bed too soft and luckily I have my own twin room so I can pile up the blankets to make it harder.

cost was the main reason for me staying there, close to the bars etc which is why I was there in the first place

sharing a room is fine but the others in the room weren’t considerate of others sleeping

The general feeling of having somewhere to stay to facilitate my wonderful and amazing time with my son from Thursday to today Saturday. It was my son’s 25th birthday on Friday 5/8/22.

The location is absolutely fantastic - literally smack bang in the middle of the city centre, you walk out the front door and you’re right in the middle of it all! That was a huge bonus for me, I came from the train station and it was one stop on the tram. Overall it’s a small and homey little hostel, everything was super clean and and tidy, and I felt very welcome here. Staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful, my roomies were sweet too. Beds clean and comfy. Recommended!

Excellent value for money and in a prime location. We were going to the Premier League Darts and the accommodation could not have been situated better, highly recommended for a city break, Facilities were pretty basic, but suited our needs completely.
