It is very beautiful , very nice host.very relaxing

A little far from everything if you don’t have a car rental. A bus does go by down the road though. We just didn’t try to navigate it. Also You will need mosquito repellent. But that is just Tuscany. I wish I had known ahead of time so I could have prepared. This property will give me great memories for a long time.

Staff were lovely and room were clean and spacious. A bit old fashioned but very peaceful! Not a whole lot going on in Grassina. You would definitely need a car, but we did get the bus into Florence from the town (only €1.50 each way) one of the days, you just need to plan your return trip. Pool area nice to relax by.

I would say slightly too expensive for what you get.

The location is beautiful very private. the views are gorgeous The house we got was big the beds we comfortable . full kitchen with everything necessary full Bathrooms on each room

We drove there and the roads a extremely windy and narrow ( two way) but we got used to. One of the rooms didn’t have a fan on the roof and the a/c was not working Bring your towels for the pool. The provided towels enough for the bathroom

The location was beautiful.

The nearest bus and supermarket/shop is a 20 minute walk away. Very steep hill to get there and of course back up again. I wouldn’t recommend staying there without a car as it’s incredibly difficult. Taxi to Florence for reference between 20-45 Euro. The included “breakfast” was a packet of stale bread type biscuits left in the apartment. Every single night we were woken up by the other guests staying in the apartments. It’s incredibly noisy. We were told we were able to get lunch and dinner delivered to the accommodation but this turned out not to be true either. It was disappointing.

Beautiful restored buildings, clean, good facilities. Short hilly walk into grassina with restaurants etc. Perfect for those who want a self catered stay in this fantastic location. Close 30 drive to Florence airport, many excellent surrounding hills , towns.

Borgo Bottaia is absolutely incredible!! Such a charming villa created of beautiful old stone located in the rolling hills of Tuscany! It was EXACTLY what we were looking for for our stay in Tuscany! The views were INCREDIBLE... better than views that we had at most wineries and dinners! The pool, staff, everything was top notch and would highly recommend this place to everyone!

The location was perfect, everything we could have needed was provided in the apartment, and amazing views.

The location was great! Near the city but in the nature. We saw roe deer in the field. The place is very nice and quiet, very well restored and organised, very nice to relax and at the same time close to the old town and all the sights of Florence. Our family was very happy with the stay at Borgo Battaia and we will definitely come back again.

The road to the complex is narrow and twisty, but being in the Tuscan highlands, this is to be expected.
