Location, Sheraton not where room rate expectations
Staff very willing but feel lack true understanding of services vs staff at Sheraton Denarau Fiji. There are no bad staff just bad managers - definitely more training and in house knowledge how resort operates. Didn't know room had fridge and tea making facilities until I left. On Friday night, local night club noise didn't cease until 12pm. Early flight at 5am meant very little sleep before due at airport at 3am. Would not stay here again at the price charged, food very average, egg plant curry turned out to nz vege soup!!

It's was a blessing to be in good care and done with kindness. Nothing was too much for the amazing staff. Kind regards Priscilla Wana
I loved everything.

The pool was the best part of this property. The beach was lovely a view from the room nice
The room wasn’t ready till past checkin time which wasn’t ideal when travelling with babies who needed to go to sleep. There was no baby cot in the room and when requested they brought up a portacot with no mattress and bare bars on the bottom, the second cot they brought up was a metal bar cage on wheels which also was not suitable. So warning to parents travelling to this hotel! BRING YOUR OWN PORTACOT our baby ended up sleeping in bed with us our whole stay which was not relaxing at all. I had emailed the property and prior and they assured me there would be a wooden cot like what we have at home ready in the room when we got there! There wasn’t and we wish we had brought our portacot. Staff were slow and were not overly welcoming and the level of service was sub par it was like an inconvenience anytime we asked for something. The room itself was nice but missing so many random things like linens, bath plug rubbish bins etc every meal we had was below average and took forever to come out.

Breakfast a good choice
Things like the butter going very soft and not in an acceptable container, also the breakfast spreads, could have had their own spoon rather than share the vegemite with the marmalade etc

The pool and staff are lovely.
Restaurant food very disappointing hardly edible, thread bare linen had make up and other stains should be binned, not enough pillows/linen to service room, sewerage gurgling in bathroom all night and raw sewer outlet 150 m off swimming beach.

Some of the staff were fantastic- particularly Chilli during dinner service. The pool was amazing also. The rooms looked nice and fresh.
There was no laundry service available. There also were no hotel activities, like hiring snorkels, kayaks etc. Resort felt a little like a ghost town with hardly any tourists staying.

Breakfast was good, bedroom good size, bed comfortable, pool looked good if it wasn't dirty all the time, close to airport, staff tried there best most of the time. Great cook. Good Wifi and air-condition was good, but you could not adjust it, so sometimes very cold in the room.
Housekeeping could improve with cleaning (bed valance was dirty, and even that pointed to cleaners did not change until manager informed, coffee cups never washed, also glasses), towels and dressing gowns were also old, discolored and not 4-5 star hotel appropriate, pool towels were very bad, pool was not cleaned daily ( lots of leaves in the water, not just floating but in the bottom of the pool too), pool bar not working, but window opened with all the mess to view every day), the beach was not cleaned every day, only when prompted, Manaia spa area full of mosquitos( not pleasant having massage and being bitten by mosquito,) the gym area pool was empty. All the hotel is/was under renovation, falling apart (one side even blocked off, casino blocked off) what we were not told before we booked. Only one restaurant working, no happy hour as advertised , no shop or games room with pool table and library as advertised. Overall, as per there own admission hotel is undergoing renovation work, which is not and was not advertised on bookin.com

Booked 1night for 5ppl. 3 of us travelling had an early flight at 5am, we were told by reception that they would organise a takeaway breakfast- Didnt happen. The remaining 2travellors had missed the breakfast buffet and wanted to order food (around 10:40ish) but was told they cant order and have to wait for lunch time 11:30am. We did not find any coffee or tea in the rooms. We also got a knock on the door at 10am to see if we are checking out which was very rude- Evn though when checking in, reception advised we could check out at 3pm. We ended up checking out at 11ish due to alot of miscomms. I do however acknowlegde that there was a system upgrade taking place at the time but thats not good enough for a place with a high reputation aswell as pricing!

Close to airport and ferry - good for arrivals and departures at odd times. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. Most staff were friendly. Children LOVE the wifi.
We had bad advice from the staff about rebooking for end of trip stay. I tried to book through reception and they said “just book online”. This resulted on an mis-booking of dates online and inability to correct because of bad internet service on the island. The resort manager was uncompromising on a refund for the incorrect night (because my cancelation didn’t completely go through), so we ended up paying twice for one night even though the resort was clearly under booked and didn’t need the room for other guests. Money grabbing in low season really.

The proximity to the airport. Our room. Spacious grounds. Lovely gardens and beaches within the grounds. The lovely samoan staff. The food choices.
The limited choice of TV at night, when there was nothing else to do. A movie channel would've been good. The sad state of the 7 stand alone fale and also the two big boats on land. No pure oceansport.

The breakfast was repetitive & would have been nice if they switched it up but overall good, housekeeping staff were just the best and I could have not been happier with them, front staff was always quick to help, enjoyed my stay and my family loved it.
The bar staff were more reluctant to serve all the adult groups around the pool with drinks and food and my family would always have to walk up to the bar and order, our room amenities were always low and we had to keep going to reception to get them.

Staff were lovely, and so helpful.
Our room phone didn't work. We booked a room with 2 beds , but only got a room with one bed and had to ask for a rollaway, when I was told we couldn't have the double room as the hotel was too full. It really didn't look full at all however and I ended up paying for the original room .

Really nice grounds , beautiful gardens, friendly staff. Close to the airport. Comfy bed and pillows.
The food was disappointing compared to smaller cheaper resorts that we stayed at in Samoa.
Very underwhelming as I was looking forward to something special that you’d expect for a big brand name resort.

Superb location, great beach, awesome staff
Lack of cleanliness and rooms in need of renovation.

The staff were truely amazing :) The pool and beach are fantastic for younger families.
The property needs some love and attention but not too much to get it back to where it needs to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s certainly not terrible and everything is clean and tidy. We spoke to the general manager while we were there and the upgrade process has began.

Sure the hotel is a little tired in places (soon to be refurbished)..but the staff (all, not just some, but especially Front of House) were exceptional. By Samoan standards too (and Samoa is known for its unwavering hospitality)
If you are staying here, you are best to rent a car. Location is away from everything but the airport...which is not necessarily a negative

We loved everything!! From the moment you arrive you are treated like an old friend. Every single staff member was so friendly and hospitable. Our room was spacious and beds so comfortable. Beautiful grounds that are picture perfect...from the beaches to the pool. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with plenty of choices for everyone to enjoy. Dinner was great with a choice of either Fine Dining or a more casual menu. Bar makes delicious cocktails that are lovely to sip on sitting around the pool or beach. Pool has a swimup bar as well as smaller kiddies pools. Volleyball net also setup poolside. FiaFia night was awesome!! Must pay a trip to the Day Spa for a heavenly full body massage...what an amazing experience, highlight of my stay. We cannot wait to come back to stay at Sheraton Beach Resort!
The fact I had to go home

It was the perfect stay after my week tour through Samoa. Comfortable with beautiful sandy beach

Great pool, friendly staff, great place for us to meet up with local friends and have dinner.
Comfy beds
Lovely setting
So close to the airport ( we arrived at 1am) 10 min drive away and yet we weren't aware of any noise from air traffic whilst we were there
Had a difficult time getting towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner - started off with only 2 towels and a little bottle of conditioner when we moved into the room .... asked 4 times over next 24hrs at reception for these items with items - with no luck - though each time we requested it was was written down as a we'll get onto that !
Finally the night before leaving the lovely lady at the desk (asking for the 5th time ) said sure - and reached to the store room behind her and got us all the items !! However this was only a minor issue and didn't over shadow our great stay

bed sheets didn’t appear clean, glass on balcony door dirty and smeared. Just that additional detail missing.

The pool area, beach and dining was really good.
Breakfast was amazing and nothing was a problem if you wanted something different to the buffet.
The staff and management couldn't be faulted...friendly and so helpful !!
We realise that Covid has really affected this Resort, and certainly know it's getting back on its feet but maybe the rooms could be tidied a bit, nothing to do with cleanliness but they are a little shabby for the price and under the 'Sheraton' Name.
Wasn't really a problem to us but could be better. Would love to see the beach sports area happen with paddle boards canoes etc

close to the ferry/wharf and has a pool
abit wornout
2.5 / 5.0
Staff friendly, pool and sea were great. Close to airport and wharf. Buffet breakfast was nice and a good variety.
Both rooms we had were but run down and in need of a good scrub. Bath towels were a dirty white colour.. bathroom hand basin was blocked. When having a Pacific Island food buffet would like it to at least 3/4 Island food.

The staff were amazing! always there to help when needed. Pool and beach was beautiful of course, loved our swimming moments
A lot of the facilities were out of order, this was definitely frustrating as the website advertises that they are fully operational. No access to water activities, tennis court and kids area not operating, spa wasn’t operating, pool bar and bar was closed. All of these weren’t operating however the price didn’t reflect this, we thought it was because of covid however learnt this was all closed way before Covid. Sheraton took over and closed all of these and the current owners have kept it the same but website and Information not updated. Very sad to see in comparison to how it was when Aggies owned it.

I like their food very tasty
But very pricy for me
Same as any where else always have something wrong for resort like Sheraton like resort i just didn't see it the shower door leaking into the toilet area AC not cold enough for me fan not available
2.5 / 5.0
Buffet breakfast was great. Lots of options and baking was delicious. Cocktails were good
The rundown blocks really detracted and made the place feel a bit depressing to see damage and furniture left exposed to the elements etc!! Sink didn't drain, and power point broken. Room service took 1 hour!!
4.5 / 5.0
The Sheraton really was hit hard by Covid but, Peter, the manager, and his staff have slowly restored the hotel. Although the tennis courts, spa, and casino (if you really need one?) are closed, the lodge, restaurant, pool, and beach are beautiful. The breakfast is enormous and delicious. The staff, at all levels and sites, are friendly and helpful. The beach and pools are perfect. It is close to the airport, but aways from Apia, so it feels remote.
I wish I could have stayed longer
They should consider an airport shuttle
