This is a lovely b&b in a traditional Swedish 19th building, close to the university and Cathedral and about 12 minutes' walk from the railway station. I really liked my room - there was obviously some thought behind the design and quirky decor - and the bed was very comfortable which I think is the most important thing. Lovely breakfast too, with a great selection of different items and our host Steffan on hand to welcome and chat during breakfast. He very kindly accommodated my request for early breakfast on Saturday and provided a breakfast bag for my very early start on Sunday which was much appreciated. Things to do nearby include the impressive Cathedral (which will be 900 years old in June) and the fascinating Kulturen openair museum.

I can't think of much to complain about. There is some noise late on Friday and Saturday nights as the students stagger home from bars and clubs but that is inevitable in a university city and beyond the control of the hotel.

Surprisingly cozy and charming little place. Small breakfast selection, but of high quality. Unmanned at night, but very friendly and helpful staff when there. The balcony is probably nice in the summer.

It would be stupid to expect more for such reasonable room rates, really.

The location is excellent; right in the centre, in a pretty spot, and easy to walk everywhere. The check in was easy and efficient (do read the messages sent in advance! :-). The room was really sweet, simple yet original, and clean. Check out was also swift and the owner was really kind and made sure I left with some breakfast even though I did not have time to sit and eat it on the spot.

The owner is a really great guy, very interesting to talk to him, I highly recommend it ;-) The breakfast was lovely! The room was good size and very well designed. I'll definitely stay there again.

The room was big, modern and very cozy at the same time. We felt very comfortable and the bed was great. The self check-in worked perfectly and was very practical considering our late arrival. The included breakfast was very nice with a big choice and especially the home made marmalade was amazing. The owner of the BnB provided us with very useful information and restaurant recommendations.

The location is great, the rooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was amazing, very local and we were able to taste some dishes cooked by the owner of the hotel! The building is old but the rooms are refurbished in a way that rivals any Hyatt.

WiFi at times was rough.

Well equipped, calm, clean, nicely decorated, charming shared balcony to the interior court. Central location. Good breakfast. Very communicative host who can give a lot of hints about Lund.

They do a great job concerning the color concept for the rooms. We had the yellow one which meant, the room and nearly everything in the room was yellow. We liked that. The bathroom was surprising as Eagles Smiley Inn is an old building, but they integrated a bathroom in a very individual way. It has a round shower area with a rain shower and a hand shower as well. The whole room was lovely, friendly and comfortable. What we definitely liked was the Nespresso machine on the ground floor: We had to start early so we enjoyed a cup of coffee after taking a shower. The breakfast was great compared for example to the Park Inn at Malmö: At Magles they offer small Kötbullar, prawns and other tasty things. The whole atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming, in fact, there is no reception, just a code for the entrance and the color of the room. The host was very friendly. The hotel is really close the the center of the city where you can enjoy your evening in on of the restaurants and bars surrounding the place.

As a vegetarian I would have liked a second kind of cheese for breakfast, but pretty sure, that's a cultural thing. As far as I know is Sweden not as famous for cheese as Switzerland or France.

The decor is terrific and fun, the bed comfortable, and having a (communal) balcony to sit on is a real bonus. It's a quiet street on the whole, though any large vehicle on setts is sure to make an alarming noise. Free coffee if wanted is also a great plus.

It's a shame that in order to have a rail for the blackout curtain, the windows can't be opened fully to air the room, but on the other hand it is good to have a blackout curtain, so complaining seems little ungracious -- and I couldn't see any other way to arrange things so one could have both.
