We stayed for 9 days at the Banyan Tree and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. We were apprehensive about booking this hotel as we saw some reviews mentioning that it had outdated facilities, but our stay was absolutely perfect with nothing to complain about: - Amazing and courteous service from all staff who greeted guests all the time. Special mention to Spencer and Lexie who were made our stay so enjoyable, and the friendly chefs who served the most delicious food. - The impressive lack of mosquitos. The grounds were very well-tended to and we did not get a single bite during 9 days. - The general solitude and lack of people. The fact that the hotel only has villas meant that the dining area was never crowded and you could eat in peace. - Villas were very private and great for a restful retreat. They are decorated classically and facilities were very clean and well-maintained. - Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels, turn-down service was very thoughtful and even provided small desserts. - The welcoming blast of powerful air-conditioning that cooled you down immediately when it was super hot outside. - Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of Thai food, Western food and Local delicacies that changed daily. There was also a fresh juice bar! Also, breakfast was served till 11am so you could sleep in late. - Private pool was clean and amazing to spend the day in. - Heated outdoor jacuzzi was perfect for the night. - Proximity to Dadonghai beach, just a short scooter ride away where there are many food and lifestyle activities. - Beautiful sunsets at the beach bar. - Golf carts to take you everywhere within the compound if you were feeling lazy. - Toiletries smelled amazing. We 10/10 hope to come back again and it was the best decision to choose to stay here.

The beach is not for swimming .

The privacy that the pool villa provided was just what we anticipated and enjoyed. The grounds were like we were walking in a jungle paradise whilst the beach was clean and spotless. Finally the food was delicious.

Everything. From the moment we checked in, the front desk gentleman was very helpful and friendly in welcoming us and making us feel like home. The service team has been supporting us and making sure everything was perfect for the whole stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the tasty western breakfast, fresh made juice, the big pool. The resort is big and the villa with own pool is great for stay with family. The private beach is big and we had a very nice and relaxing stay, we will come again!

The beer was a bit too expensive and the food in restaurant was pricey but it was delicious Thai food ;-)

Very few guests on a large hotel property with beautiful pools and a nice park. The beach is really nice and large. Dining under the open sky is always a special treat!

This hotel room smelled like mold, the shower was not clean, the curtains were filled with dust, and there were spider webs on the ceilings. This hotel needs to be renovated and maintained well. For the price this hotel is NOT worth the money!
