The traditional decor

Jagat niwas was a treat to the eyes, beautifully done up spaces, lake views and amazing hospitality. The restaurant has the most spectacular views of the lake. Rooms are cozy & comfortable. City palace, Jagdish mandir and gangour ghat are walking distance. It was fun to walk around the the property and soak in the old town charm.

Very different than what’s on the website. Staff says upfront to you that the nice colorful bedspreads are only for website pics and the remove it the minute you check in. Not conducive for a family trip. No facilities for senior citizens. Very difficult to get any mode of transport for family. Highly priced stay and food

Beautifully kept property and wonderful staff. The views of the lake are fantastic from either level of restaurant, but the rooftop is the place to be for sunset. We really enjoyed our stay despite the very hot weather.

The pool didn’t look clean enough to swim in

Exceeded expectation.

A very good spread of breakfast with great food and the staff was always there to assist you with getting second helping of coffee/tea and asking you for your preferred eggs. The breakfast would fill us up for the whole day of exploring udaipur! :) The hotel staff was also generous in letting us store our luggage till our check in time and check out time before we had to catch our coach to the next destination.

the room was amazing with great views over the lake. bellboys and service staff to the rooms were great.

reception was not up to the mark and couldn’t answer many questions. on arrival, was just given key and not shown to lift or room. the restaurant staff was equally unhelpful when dealing with dietary restrictions. The other staff (such as bellboys) were excellent and very helpful. Food was so-so with western prices.

We booked this place because the view of the lake looked incredible and it had very good reviews. We were only in Udaipur for a couple of days and we ended up eating dinner here both nights because the food was superb! The hotel itself is wonderful because it has so many common areas where you can sit and read, work or relax. The people working here are also very kind and helpful. Our waiter was very attentive and booked us really nice tables on both nights to enjoy the sunset. They also serve an excellent breakfast! The locations of the hotel is also great, just a few minutes walk to City Palace and Jagdish temple, and many shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

The only disappointment was that the hotel advertises a gym, but since Covid it has been closed. This should really be updated on booking.com.

This hotel has beautiful areas with views overlooking the lake to sit very comfortably and relax during the day. The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is very nice, you can truly rest and enjoy the scenic views. The food was great!
