Great place, warm hosts and excellent coffee. Perfect !

The room and bathroom was perfect, just what we were looking for. Every night Maria or Miguel would ask us what type of breakfast we would like for the next morning and every morning we would enjoy our granola or huevos revueltos before going out and explore this beautiful place.

The host and staff are incredibly nice. All accommodations are perfect and cozy, and every day there's a yummy breakfast. The place is amazing.

Beautiful layout which enabled me to hang out in the hammock or work at my computer and drink a coffee. The room was spacious with all I needed and I like the open air shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nicely prepared and presented. Location was perfect

The bed was hard and the mattress was covered with some plastic which I found uncomfortable. A thicker blanket would have been nice.

Really charming hotel just a few blocks from the main square of Barichara. Rustic with lots of character – it's a lovely old building – but also very clean, well kept and the rooms are big. The staff were delightful and helped us out with transport and restaurant recommendations, among other things. Good coffee, too (it doubles up as a cafe in the daytime). I'd happily stay here again.

The staff were so very friendly and helpful, even though I don't speak much Spanish they went out of their way to help. The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful, with lots of seating space to relax. Bruno the dog is gorgeous! It was so nice to have a good breakfast (they ask you the day before what you'd like and what time) It's a really nice old colonial house, just a few blocks walk from the plaza and was a comfortable stay.

The owners of the hostel are so kind and helpful! (And willing to answer my many questions about buses and hikes!) We also really appreciated the several different areas to sit and relax in the enclosed patios, since it was quite hot midday. The shower with the open roof in our room was also cool. Overall, we felt like it was a beautiful and pleasant place to relax for a few days.

I tend to be the first person bitten, and I got a bunch of mosquito bites in our room— maybe from just one bug? Maybe more?— while my girlfriend got none. I would definitely still recommend staying here, but plan accordingly if you are like me!
