Very dated

The staff member who checked us in was friendly. Unfortunately this is where the positive experience stopped.

The photos published on the website are a far cry from the actual rooms that we stayed in. - Overall the room was grotty with a terrible smell lingering. - Dirty walls with multiple holes which had been roughly patched and not painted. - Holes in walls where fixtures had been removed and not patched - Dank window coverings which did not cover the windows, but hung loosely and did not block out the blaring outdoor lights overnight - Single bed had parts missing (conveniently located under the bed) which meant the bed sagged & squeaked. Also, the single bed had sheets only and no extra blankets provided - Main bed had no top sheet and the provided uncovered quilt was stained - dirty linen left in a huge pile at the bottom the the stairwell Teenage child and mother felt very unsafe. Overpriced & felt there should not have been a “holding” fee of $100 (that takes 5-7 days to be released after checkout) given the state of the room!

That main bedroom was separated.

The location is fantastic, very close to the beach with a tavern in front for great meals. Rooms are very spacious with good seating to relax. Good value for money.

Too much light from outside comes through the gap in the curtains at night making the bedroom very light for sleeping, the shower rose needs replacing.

needs a lot of work, generally tired and needs work. 1. hooks off curtains. 2. outside of fridge rusting. 3. outside needed mowing and pool wasn’t inviting. (it was mowed on my last day) 4. food in hotel while it was well presented was expensive for the surroundings. 5. Room service on Saturday night was impossible to access. Tried ringing designated number was never answered. Rang restaurant direct was continually engaged. so ate cup of soup and bread of my own. 6. TV didn’t have program so involved flicking through channels to find something to watch. 7. Too isolated from shops or amenities without a car. Should be indicated in advertising. 8. Photos on site indicate views. 9. Took fall with my wheelie walker into the road. outsiders stopped and helped and a staff member came out with First Aid Box. WHPS should include a report, but non was taken from me. I put no blame for my fall on the establishment but nevertheless it wasn’t adequately reported.

Air con was dirty and noisy and also the fridge constantly hummed.

The service was 2nd to none!
