ARRIVAL AND HOST We were met by our host at our arrival. She speaks fluently English and showed us around explaining everything in and around the house. We also received information on what things to visit in the area, thanks! THE HOUSE The house is divided into two separate units: top- and bottom floor, each having its own entrance. Perfect if you stay with friends or two families! The top floor has a nice living area, two bedrooms and bathroom. The kitchen has all the basic equipment you need. There is only a bar-style table available. We would sit outside every day and enjoy the lake and mountain views whilst enjoying our breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bottom floor has a more modern design. It consists of a living room, bedroom and bathroom. The garden is large, nicely designed and you can sit anywhere on the 3 sides of the house. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi at sunset and evenings. And on the back side there's a BBQ too! The whole garden is surrounded by a hedge so privacy is guaranteed. VILLAGE AND DIRECT SURROUNDINGS The beach is right in front of the house. And goes for miles in both directions. If you follow the beach path to the right, there are some nice pine trees and benches to sit on and cool down during the hot days or during the evening. A big supermarket can be found in the next town, which is a 15-minute drive. VERDICT A really good location to wind down, rest, and enjoy the beach and nature in this secluded town. Lots of oppertunities to walk or hike. From here we visited Zadar (30min), Trogir (1h 15min) and the beautiful Plitvička Jezera/Plitvice Lakes (1h 30min). There's a very good restaurant Taverna Konoba Marasovic in Starigrad (30min).

There were drain flies in the bathroom and living room of the bottom apartment during our stay.
