This beautiful place needs more recognition!
Friendly staff, great massage (we got a 3.5 hour long one, which seemed to have lasted for 30 min!), scrumptious food and drinks, a beautiful pool with few people, comfortable beddings, and many more!
I was kind of worried after hearing from my friend that traveling to Cambodia during summer is not a good idea.. BUT it was the best trip I had in several years thanks to Sokkhak Boutique Resort! Thank you, and my mom and I are planning to visit you again this year :)
Some issues with card payment, but I think it's more of Booking.com's problem than theirs.

Almost home like!! Neat clean, comfortable, very attentive staff
Approach road was bad!

My stay was marvelous. It’s calm and cozy. The staff is very helpful, they organized everything for me and I had not to worry about anything.
And after a day of sight seen, the pool offers an idyllic retreat to chill and refresh with a nice cocktail.

A boutique, enjoyable hotel. Nice pool, comfortable bed, good big bathroom. All spotless, beautiful decor with Khmer touch. Staff was attentive, very pleasant. Food in the restaurant was very good. Free transport to airport, nice touch. Oooh, and there is a morning food market about 300 metres away, worth visiting.
All was good. It is not a walking distance to town but we didn't care, after three weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia it was sooo nice to stay in a beautiful spot.

The best decision I've made was to book our stay at the Sokkhak Boutique Resort in Siem Reap.
In case you're looking for an intimate, relaxing, romantic venue with spot on service, then do not hesitate any longer, this is undoubtedly the perfect place for you!
In a nutshell since my review is quite long, Sokkhak resort offers a peaceful and relaxing environment, far from all those big hotels/factories for tour- operators. Everything is refined and they're very much into those small details that makes a big difference. The true gem of that hotels resides in its staff, offering an impeccable service from the heart, anticipating all our needs and expectations, and always going the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable.
I would like to thank and particularly highlight Ostraly, Sophal, Chanty, Sunny, Tina, Mouet; but also all the other staff working in the back end.
Our experience started before our stay, with a friendly message from Ostraly, offering to assist us with all arrangements for our stay.
Upon arrival, Sophal was waiting for us at the airport and drove us to the hotel with our suitcases by tuk-tuk. We were welcomed with a genuine smile and friendly "welcome home", cold towels and refreshing welcome drinks. Ostraly reviewed all details of our stay with us and assisted us organizing our massage session and visits.
Our room was spacious, refined and beautifully decorated. A nice message was displayed on the bed, and the bathroom was decorated with flowers.
The resort offers a beautiful salty water pool nestled in a tropical lush, a great restaurant serving a succulent cuisine with impeccable service for breakfast/lunch and dinner, and a couple room massage upon request (totally recommend the 90 minutes Khmer massage, so relaxing!).
Our room was spacious, refined and beautifully decorated. A nice message was displayed on the bed, and the bathroom was decorated with flowers.

Fantastic place.
We were so lucky to have chosen it.
Great, helpful staff with a good knowledge of english. It was a quiet time, so we felt like the place was only ours.
The pool is cosy and nice.
They own one of the best restaurants in downtown Siep Ream ( Sokhak river lounge), so the food is also great.
Hope to be back sometimes :)
Nothing, really.
The location is not central, but therefore, it was quiet and secluded with Sokon tuk-tuking as anytime, anywhere.

Excellent menu and great service from the hotel staff. I normally dont use the pool at hotels but in this case I spent most of my free time at the pool. The room was big, well designed with beautiful decoration. The hotel staff did their best to facilitate all our requests (even when at short notice). I will certainly visit Cambodia again and I look fw to another stay at Sokkhak.
There was nothing I did not like. Perhaps the location is not convenient to walk to the center but Mr. Tuok was always there to transfer us wherever we wanted.

From our complementary tuk tuk airport pick up to the drop off, the staff were exceptional! We were treated like royalty, felt so pampered with the attention to details! The resort is maintained well and the inputs they provided for our tours were very helpful. The warmth and courtesy offered was truly excellent!
Nothing to complain about

Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The staff were super friendly and helpful, just wished we could have stayed longer in this little slice of paradise.

the Staff were outstanding. Brilliant friendly team running the Sokkhak. The lush gardens were lovely and lots of extra touches to make the stay memorable
I liked everything and everyone

We had the most amazing stay at Sokkhak Boutique Resort.
The staff has been adorable and accommodated all our requests, and we even got an unexpected room upgrade. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The outdoor area is gorgeous and luxuriant.
The spa experience could be improved, starting with communication. The massage I received was not as relaxing as I hoped.
Bedrooms could be slightly cleaner.
4.8
Boutique and beautiful. Everything we could possibly need. Staff were kind, thoughtful and well trained.
Smallest criticism, staff were a little too attentive, so felt a bit crowded at times in regard to privacy.

quiet and small, good location for temple visits, excellent Spa, and the most friendly staff!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was an oasis of peace in a dusty rugged part of town. It was a little "noisy", however, with dogs barking away the evil spirits at night (Cambodian custom/beliefs) as the rest of the neighborhood was ramshackle plots of land with houses of various sorts.
The pool was FANTASTIC! It was what we dreamed of during the day when out and about in 104˚F/40˚C with 99% humidity...
The food was excellent, with the breakfast omelette being outstanding. The menu was a bit limited, however, but this was probably because they had just reopened due to being closed in the pandemic, so I don't think this is a permanent criticism. The cocktail menu was excellent.
The attentiveness, politeness and friendliness of the staff was sincere. They were very efficient.
Coffee was excellent service was very quick and the staff made an excellent espresso, which we valued greatly in the morning!
The bed was COMFORTABLE! One of the best beds we've had at a hotel!!
While our room was air-conditioned, the hotel itself was not, so some days we had to sit right in front of the fan to get some relief from the heat in the dining room.
This is a very nice hotel, an oasis at the edge of a dusty road in a rural part of Siem Reap. Now, Siem Reap is not Phnom Penh and downtown Siem Reap is clean, compact and full of restaurants and bars and places to walk. In this respect, the hotel was a bit isolated. Some nights, after a day a sightseeing, then relaxing in the pool and changing, it was late and we were tired, and we decided it was too much effort to go into town. Maybe younger kids might not feel that way, but we did so we ended up eating in the hotel more than we would have if we had stayed downtown.
This is a criticism of the hotel designers, not the staff in any way, and it pertains to our room (the suite.) It was a very inefficient and weird layout. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable, as mentioned, but the bathroom was tiny and had no "put space", a category I always evaluate critically. In other words, there was no place to "put your stuff" in the bathroom. Narrow sides to the sink - that's very inconvenient. Few shelves and only two hooks for draping towels no towel racks for drying your wet towels. There was an entire large room devoted solely to a gigantic concrete (yes, stone material) free standing bath! No doors, no privacy, no shelves, no handrails to help you in and out of this tub, and no rugs or non-slip material when you get out! A total waste of space. The desk was very large but required an extension cord as there was no place to plug in any of your equipment. All in all, a very poor design & layout of the room. Lighting was poorly laid out.
Also, the exit and entrance to the pool was very funky and one could easily trip getting in and out. At night, the placement of the lights actually created a hazard, since the face upwards, and blinded you as you tried to look down to walk on narrow pieces of stone laid out as a path and stairs to the pool. Could be a lot better design.
Again, this is due to the hotel designers/architects, not any reflection on the staff in any way.

Our stay with Sokkhak Boutique Resort was excellent. Sophal greeted us at the airport and was very friendly and welcoming. He waited while I got some cash at the ATM and then drove us via tuk tuk to the hotel, which was maybe around 15 minutes or so.
Upon arrival to the hotel, we were warmly welcomed with a tea and a cool lemongrass cloth. We were checked in and staff offered help, explanation, etc for our stay.
We had a poolside room. It was positioned just behind some bushes to give a bit of privacy to the room. The room itself was spacious with a large bed, long table top desk area, and a mini fridge underneath. The bathroom had a large bathtub and open shower area. The toilet area was in the bathroom but behind it's own privacy door. The shower had great water pressure, hot and cold water, and plenty of space. For the rest of the room, the bed was the most comfortable one we had through out trip. In addition, we are those people who like to sleep to a fan and the staff was able to put a fan in the room, which was a great bonus.
The location is outside of the main town center, so you will need to take a tuk tuk to get into the center. That being said, it's maybe 8 minutes or so and only $2 to go into town. Returning was $3 for tuk tuk's not connected to the hotel. All very affordable for rides.
We also walked around the hotel area. There is a drink / tea shop directly on the corner next to the hotel, which had drinks for what amounted to less than $1 for us. They were very tasty and the mother / daughter team running it were very friendly. It's a nice shop and we recommend supporting them.
We also walked down around the corner to a local pizza spot, which was good option as well, rather than going into the town center.
Lastly, the hotel set up a driver for a day through the temples. Sophal was our driver and was wonderful. We enjoyed the day greatly and Sophal was excellent.
Overall, we recommend the hotel and loved our stay!
Nothing.

Very professional staff and very friendly.
There was some noise from the backside of the building. Probably a water tank.
4.8
this is my idea of the perfect hotel. small property but our room was large, luxurious and gorgeous with beautiful art and furniture and the most comfortable bed. the restaurant was small and very good. the staff were so pleasant and helpful and organized a couple of outings for us. we were very happy with our stay.
nothing. it was a bit out of the centre of town which suited me perfectly and there was always transportation available.

Wonderful service, you felt at home. Breakfast was from a set menu and fantastic the food was fresh and heathy.

Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff, stunning room, excellent food and loved the pool. Helped with bike hire and made suggestions of places to visit.
Can't really think of any negatives.

Location was a short Tuk Tuk ride to everything. The service was pampering and truly attentive to your every need. A hidden little gem that was completely unexpected.
Not turning the air off when you leave the room and giving more counter space in bathroom.
4.8
Lovely staff, really caring and attentive to your need and nice hotel.
We didn’t like the area, it’s really outside of the city (10mins by tuktuk) and the surrounding is not nice, in the middle of slums, dirty and poor area.
4.8
Every once in a while you find yourself in a hotel which in many ways far exceed your expectations. Sokkhak Boutique Resort was, for us, one of those not very common experiences. The location, in a secluded location close to a fairly busy commercial area gave us the feeling of being in a local rather than a tourist environment, yet once within the boundaries of the hotel we felt far removed from any hustle and bustle. The "downtown attractions of Siem Reap, limited but interesting, are just a few minutes away by tuk-tuk. The reason for visiting Siem Reap, the magnificent ancient temples of Ankor Wat, Ankor Thom, Preah Khan and others are also within easy reach by tuk-tuk.
The people of Cambodia are gentle, courteous and charming and all the staff at Sokkhak, as well as the guide and driver they arranged for us, fit comfortably into this description. Our breakfasts and suppers were delicious and presented with delightful attention to detail.
The pool just beyond the door of our room was a delight after fairly long walks around the sights.
A truly memorable highlight of our travels to many and varied locations!
Nothing!

A small boutique hotel with super friendly & helpful staff.
We stayed in a separate room facing the pool. The room was large & we loved the layout.
We also loved the food at their restaurant.
The location is outside Siem Reap proper & closer to the temple complex.
You are better off renting bicycles outside yourself.
4.8
From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful, so genuinely helpful and kind.
The hotel itself is beautiful and kept to a very high cleanliness level.
You were made to feel comfortable and well taken care of from the minute you arrived. I was so sad to leave, if I could I would’ve stayed forever!
Nothing. In all honesty it is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
4.8
Spacious, beautifully designed rooms
Heavenly bed. Great and big pool.
Staff went out of their way to meet every need 😊
Location out of town, quiet and convenient for temples visits.
The hotel could have more outdoor lounge spaces.
There is no restaurant onsite, but you can order dinner from their town restaurant!

There’s nothing whatsoever to dislike about the Sokkhak.
The little touches like appearing to meet you from a TukTuk with an umbrella when it rained. Appearing to offer tea/coffee by the pool ‘just’ as you think of it.
Remembering you like a second coffee at breakfast!
Nothing was too much trouble.
There is nothing to dislike.
