The rooms, in an old building, have been thoughtfully and tastefully modernised to a high standard. A lift has also been installed which was a very pleasant surprise. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely outlook onto the valley below. Although there is no restaurant on the premises the owner directed us to a restaurant just a five minute walk away. The recommendation could not have been better. The food was delicious so much so that we returned the second night.

It's okay to stay for a night in case you have a room for just one person. I am sure that bigger rooms for families offer more comfort. As the hotel is part of a bakery, you will get a breakfast with definitely fresh bread and cakes.

Overall it's a bit old what cannot be changed, so not really something to complain. The towels should be really changed or treated in a different way as they are super hard what is not nice. The price is not high but some improvements should be done.

A very nice place place,everything was excellent,pop in for a night with my spouse and children and I've had a good sleep and restfull night.

The mattress was soggy

I had a great stay there and will be happy to book again. The rooms are fairly standard, but very clean. Some come with a lovely little balcony. I was upgraded without paying more because I had booked three nights. The place also offers a hidden back beer garden. There are two restaurants nearby, one Italian (pizza etc.) and one Bavarian (great choice of traditional meals), neither have an English menu. I used the local supermarket opposite the hotel, because there was no minibar in my room. The breakfast buffet was good, including fruit, cheese and very good home-made jams; and of course they offer fresh bread and pastries made in their own bakery; but there is no hot food (bacon, eggs etc.). The lady of the house was particularly nice and friendly, she was very eager to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

This place is a traditional family business; they do not speak English. The bakery below starts work very early in the morning; some customers pick up their bread from 6am. After an extremely quiet night, suddenly there was quite some traffic in this tiny little village - but it is not more traffic than what I have at home, so there is nothing to complain about.
