The location was central and easily accessible. It was very clean. The balcony view was beautiful and perfect for afternoon tea or morning caffe and cornetti.

The outside lock was not functioning and we had to wait 45 min for someone to come and bring a physical key. I think the battery had died. It was fixed and functioned properly for the rest of our stay.

The location, view and staff support were outstanding! The traditional cave feel but with all modern conviniences, makes this apartment special. Us old folks couldn't figure out how to turn on the shower and someone very graciously came and helped us. You don't push, pull or turn the knob, you tilt it.😀

Central location in the Sassi Caveo with a spectacular view from room and balcony on the Sassi. Modern apartment in an historical building. Perfect equipment. Very friendly and supporting host. Definitely to recommend for a perfect stay in Matera.

The view from the bedroom/balcony is amazing!!! Spacious apartment in the Sassi, easy access from one of the main squares of Matera. Tonio was hyper helpful welcoming us, giving us info about the available parking, walking tours around the Sassi, restaurants and more. The apart is fully equipped and Tonio has left everything for breakfast and even a bottle of prosecco that we enjoyed in the balcony! The place to be in Matera!

The floor of the terrace was not properly clean. For the rest all fine!

The flat is modern on the inside but respecting the traditional architecture of Matera. Very spacious, tidy, clean and comfortable. Excellent bathroom and shower, and fully equipped kitchen. There was also enough groceries to have breakfast, a coffee machine, a good internet connection and a cold prosecco bottle in the fridge! But the best area of the flat is the terrace/balcony. Simply breathtaking, overlooking the Sassi area. Its host Tonio was also super helpful and provided tips and recommendations.

The view from the window... I can't imagine better one. The apartment is very comfortable, wifi works great and it's close tk everything. The owner is incredibly helpful and made us feel welcomed in Matera. Thank you! Ps. We regret our stay wasn't longer...!

The perfect location in Matera to enjoy the old town from your balcony by breakfast and with a drink, while being at the same time in downtown. The apartment is in very good shape with a great bathroom. You are enjoying basically a luxury modern cave of 7000 years civilization. Parking on road is 1min away or a parking garage with charging possibility in Via Casalnuovo for 10€ per day.

I was amazed by the house. There are so many things I loved about it. The main reason I chose the place over the others was the view from the balcony and it was awesome. Although we only had a day in Matera, we were able to take it all in fully as we were so lucky to spend the time in the room with this wonderful view. The house was very spacious, super clean and very comfortable. There was lots of things to have breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco which came in super handy as we were celebrating ☺️ Tonio is an amazing host and gave us all the information and a lot more tips about Matera. This was the best place we stayed during our Puglia road trip and I am so happy I chose it over other places. If I go back to Matera, this will be the place I will look forward to booking for sure.

This beautiful property is ideally situated to enjoy both the old Sassi and the new city of Matera. It has character and is beautifully fitted out. The shower is outstanding - must be experienced to be believed. The balcony from the bedroom provided a wonderful place for drinks and nibbles after a day of much walking around this amazing city. We could have spent more than three nights here very happily.

Our only comment is to advise that, if travelling by car, locate the multi-storey car park nearby and park first - it is a few hundred metres easy walk to the house. Parking here is cheap and easy for a few days. On street parking is not possible at the house, and is expensive and difficult to find a space nearby.
