The owner made sure it was dusted and generally clean.

The facilities are old. Paint is peeling off the ceiling, mold in the shower and in the toilet, and everything is falling apart. Also, there no breakfast included even though this is a bed and breakfast. The owner also yelled at us told us we were completely wrong in parenting when we told our daughter she could choose to finish her piano and go ice skating afterwards or she could drop both if she was too tired and our daughter had a melt down where she didn’t want to stop playing piano but didn’t want to play piano either.

I can most certainly recommend Marielund Gård if you are traveling to this area. The hosts were absolutely brilliant - the room and shared areas were clean and the breakfast was very nice. Everything is in place for a comfortable stay. I travel much more than the average person and rarely experience places that feel as homely and nice as this. I could not recommend this farm enough for it's value for money, location and genuinely nice hosts.

the road to the place , difficult to find

The staff was very friendly and nice. The house is beautiful and cosy, but old and in a poor state: Ceilings, windows and walls require some renovation work. The bathroom was more or less clean, but the old tiles, the toilet, the sink and all installations were worn and abraded. The breakfast was frugal and OK, but it was not cosy at all sitting in a room under a ceiling whose surface was rotten. All in all, the facilities matched the cheap price, but I would rather have invested more money in a more cosy place.

Facilities require a groundbreaking renovation: new colours, new installations.

The room was comfortable, clean, warm. The host is friendly and helpful. Wifi was very good. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Of course shared toilet and bath can not be good, but it was not a problem during my stay. The biggest minus is the location - if you go by foot during the night, the way is rather dark. Although it is not that far from the centre of Skara. Generally a very good value for money.
