The staff member was lovely enough to offer us free cancellation when she saw that we were travelling with a baby. As their rooms are above a night club and it was a Friday night.

The room had been left open and other guests had obviously used our room to smoke a joint prior to our arrival. Unfortunately as we arrived at 11:30pm it was too late to search for alternative accommodation. Room is in serious need of a thorough clean ang a fresh coat of paint. There was a bright pink plastic bag covering the smoke detector

Comfortable bed, utilities in kitchen worked well

Chairs in kitchen were rejects. Didn't like the ramp to rooms from street level.

Location

Room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, door opened directly into communal area, loud music playing from night club into early morning. To walk into the backpackers you would have to walk past other guests smoking and through their smoking area. The other guests seemed not to be backpackers or tourists but long term residents.

Extremely disrespectful long term stay persons putting music loud all day and from 7am.

The room was fine and comfortable. The staff were friendly.

The noise. Night club/bar with loud music below or adjacent two nights in a row until after 2am. The whole room reverberated.

Bed super soft I slept bad.

We arrived at 7pm to find no staff there able to even open the security door. Someone staying there eventually let us in and someone else staying there had a key for a spare room so we could get in. We were with our 1yr old and desperate to get him to shower and bed. There was an issue with the hot waster so no hot water. The place was freezing with a tiny heater. There was no toilet paper. A shambles It’s currently a long term accommodation provide which wasn’t clear on the website. Best thing about the place was kind other people staying there.

Location was pretty good. Room & bed were clean.

Noisy guests. Lumpy spring mattress. Cold room but adequate bedding.

We slept like stones and also the breakfast was great!

Well, it is okay, but in Austria it woulnd't be possible to have such kind of rooms with a sloping floor...

Everything except the nightclub

I didnt like that it was on top of a night club.

Great budget room in center of the Nelson with a tv and a shower/toilet in a room.Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Kitchen has everything you need and facilities are cleaned regularly. Only downside is if you are light sleeper then you might struggle with a noise coming from downstairs on Friday/Saturday nights(nightclub downstairs), didn't really bother us. Would recommend. :)
