It was close to city centre however there is only one bus # 21 that operates and after 5pm it comes on hourly basis, which is not convinent at all, the only other bus option is 25 minutes walk away from the location. Apartment had all the basic necessities, and staff was friendly!!

The most difficult terms I have seen anywhere, with so many conditions for everything. Need to complete checkin between 5pm & 6pm was rediculous. There is hardly any space in the apartment esp. in the WC, tall person will really struggle. No value for money for sure!!

There is one lady and one other person in the reception. You will find them only at their suitable time which is morning 8 am to 9 am. Other time you will not get any support from them. They charge for bed linen and towel also seperately and that too you have to set it. They take security & cleanning deposit of € 100. Forget about the refund. They will come with magnify glass and will find small dust and hairs in the room and they will say that the room is not clean so they will not refund the amount. Their behaviour is like we are slave and not the guest. Very very bad & harsh behaviour. I would like to convey that you better directly book it from Manor farm rather than going to this Altogold. Very bad experience. They shouted at me and also used slang. The most unpleasant stay I ever had. Please dont book it else you will suffer like me.

The location is so worth the price! Plus we have two separate bedrooms (one double bed and one with single + bunk bed). There were four of us in total.

Since the cabin is quite tight, you could hear clearly one another even when you are in separate rooms, especially when you are using the toilet/bathroom. So you may not have the necessary privacy. On top of that, you have to clean the cabin by yourself or if not, you won’t get back your expensive deposit. Since they don’t provide checklist on things to do before checking out, please do provide ample of time for check-out as they need to so some inspection (a thorough one) and you may need to reclean your cabin if needed. And oh boy, the level of cleanliness that you have to achieve is the highest one that we had ever faced in our lives. Since we had to reclean, we missed our bus and had to wait for another hour to get another one. So please do allocate ample time for check-out as it may take some time.

Location! Ten minutes away by bus from Interlaken, 20 minutes away by boat.

No AC. No nets on windows which allowed insects inside. The toilet and the shower are not on the same room. We paid for and fitted linens ourselves. We were expected to clean (vacuum and wipe surfaces) at checkout.

Nice accommodation next to the lake. Close to bus and ferry which was included. Staff were great.

A patio roof would have been a nice addition to our unit.

At reception. When we took the keys Lady over their , she said that While checkout you have to clean the property Such that they will refund 100 But when we are checkout They told us to clean the house as bond cleaning This is not accepted Initial, while at check in time If they say that cleaning should be as same as bond cleaning then we would cancel the booking or atleast we will take the picture of cottage . As we went to holiday to enjoy and not for cleaning But still we cleaned to house in order to get 100 back But they said some more pure cleaning to do done .. I suggest whoever reading this review Location wise , I will rate maximum But take pictures before you check in as a reference

The chalet was clean and the wash rooms on the site were really good

The chalets are really squeezed in with camping pitches all around. No outside privacy. We had campers within 2 metres of where we sat. We had an advertising sign shielding us from the campers but that meant we had no real outside space. It also meant we had no views.see pictures. The single beds are really narrow only suitable for children ( smallish children). Paid 80 francs for bedding that had marks and a rip ( though the site attendants did replace it - they were very nice). The reception is only open for a couple of hours in the morning and in the evening . The lake looked lovely but the ‘beaches’ were small and crowded. It is basically a very overcrowded site. However had a lovely time up the mountains - put this picture on by mistake and couldn’t delete it!

We took a gamble booking this but we ended up really liking it. It’s was clean, had enough beds for our party and the beds were comfortable. It’s a campground with a little store, restaurant, mini golf, laundry facility (really nice), and right on the lake! there’s a bus at front of campground that takes you to Interlaken (about 10 minutes) or Thun (about 25 minutes). The bud drops off at both train stations in Interlaken. It was great location to be right on lake but also east access to Interlaken and other attractions. The stay included bus tickets for duration of our stay which was a nice surprise! We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was also really nice and helpful.

Not much we didn’t like, but important to note, there is no AC. Wasn’t really hot during our visit but I imagine it would be quite hot in middle of summer. There was a fan though and that certainly helped.
