Spacious with an exceptional view Wonderfully comfortable

Wonderful location for our family of 5 and two toy poodles. Easy walking distance to town. Foreshore and off lead dog park virtually on our doorstep. Host (Richard) was responsive and helpful. Townhouse was unfussy and comfy - set up perfectly for relaxed living.

I literally can't think of anything I could suggest for improvement.

amazing location with your own personal beach . beds were comfy and it had all the extra you won’t get in a hotel . amazing to go on holidays and not have to bring everything including the kitchen sink. kids loved that there was even fishing rods and bait in the freezer.

Villa Riviera was excellent. The location right on the waters edge was lovely. The decor was very tastefully done. The owners had thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable. From large serving platters and bowls to fishing rods and bait in the freezer. The cupboards were stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, oils and vinegar and the list goes on. The price was very reasonable for what you got. Would definitely stay there again.

The up stairs bathroom was a little tired but very clean and a nice shower.

An amazing spot right on the river and within walking distance of town. There were lots of wildlife to watch and admire, and having breakfast and lunch on the back deck was sensational. Nice and quiet. A perfect blend of city comfort and facilities with a real homey feel to the villa. Villa is stocked with absolutely everything you might need!

The main couch was the only thing we would change. Comfy enough if in the right position with feet up etc but not the best for just general seating. This is literally the only thing I would change.

The view from the bedroom was spectacular as well as the deck. The downstairs was very modern in particular, and the property was very tidy with plenty of amenities provided. It was also very quiet and the neighbours were friendly.

The stairs were steep and narrow, and the shower head was low. It would have been great to have a gate across the entrance to the deck.

Villa Riviera on River is by far one of the best accommodation we stayed in Australia. Highly recommended!

The location of the apartment right on the River (the water laps directly below the balcony) is quite pretty, and there are fishing lines and bait to help you settle in very quickly. The decor is in accord with the theme of "relax and unwind". As other guests have remarked, there are good supplies of condiments, and the opportunity to self-cater and do laundry easily (although the small Weber bar-be-que on the small open balcony was not usable by us because of persistent rain when we stayed). Extras such as beach towels, tissues, laundry detergent etc are useful.

The apartment is in a block of units at the end of a street in a semi-residential area. The street, the complex and some of the apartments in it seemed a little "tired" to us, as were the two very small bathrooms in Villa Riviera, which are clean but in need of modernisation. The beds were attractively made, in large bedrooms, the master with a lovely river view, but the bed was a little soft-saggy for our preference. The lighting could do with some upgrading in places, and the sofa cushions and rugs were not particularly clean. We stay in Booking.com accommodation often and regularly give ratings of 10, but we did not feel as warmly towards Villa Riviera for our stay as most other guests seem to.

Highly recommend this accommodation! This is one of the nicest places we have stayed at via Booking.com. The view to the river was spectacular (from upper and lower levels of the apartment) and we were out on the deck a lot for breakfast and dinner! It felt like we were in a houseboat (in fact, we called it The Houseboat all weekend) as it was so close to the water. The beds & living areas inside were super comfy! WiFi and Smart TV were handy for watching movies on our Netflix/Amazon accounts and we appreciated having Aircon, BBQ, fishing rods and modern appliances. If you have a dog, then this apartment is dog-friendly and right next to a dog park and the apartment is very well situated to cafes and restaurants and not far from the supermarkets and shopping centres. The residents were friendly and welcoming and the host Richard was very responsive to any questions. We enjoyed both lazing at the apartment and checking out Ballina and towns nearby.

Was a case of emergency accomodation due to floods and we struck gold. One of the best setup holiday units we have come across, just missing a bath tub. Great views, very well stocked pantry. Thanks Richard for the boat bung, got us out of trouble on return to the farm 👍🤠

Had to depart early. Would of liked a longer stay.
