The house is in front of the sea in an unsupervised area of the beach where it is not possible to swim. You can allow children to play in the sea up to some extent or go to a nearby supervised beach. The house is equipped to satisfaction and the landlord very friendly. We had a smell coming out of the airconditioning and he had it serviced while we where there to get rid of the smell, which was succesful. Thank you for that. The pool is not heated but the children did not mind and enjoyed it for hours with our supervision. At one occasion there were two people attempting to do things not suitable for children in the pool, but they went away when they saw it got too crowded. Estepona is about ten minutes by car and is the loveliest Spanish holiday town we have visited. Not overcrowded like Torremolinos, no salesmen clinging to tourists. Nice shops and good food. For nature lovers like us, whale watching in Tarifa with firmm was a must and we saw pilot whales. Gibraltar is also a nice day out en we recommend afternoon tea at the Rock Hotel. Also pay attention when driving to Gibraltar. There is usually a man there charging tourists 20€ for entrance to the island and parking. This is obviously a scam and the police at the border control said this man is there a lot. Marbella is also near and has a wonderfull shopping mall Cañada which was the biggest we had seen with many shops and lots of restaurants. We would definitely come back here. The peace and quiet at times is wonderful and the house is very nicely equiped with a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, three bathrooms with a toilet and a fourth seperate toilet downstairs. We felt at home.

The only thing that disturbed our holidays besides the many mosquitos, which the not so well adjustable window screens did not stop, where the noisy children in front of the house some days, especially in the weekend, until well after midnight with their music and lack of boundaries bringing them into our fenced garden many times to recover their balls or kites that had landed on our garden chairs at all times of the day. This made sunbathing in the front garden impossible if you do not want to get hurt, but sunbathing is possible on the beach and near the swimming pool which is in another part of the urbanización up a small hill next to the house and two sets of stairs. We did ask the children to play farther from our garden but this resulted in our doorbell being rang a few times and finding nobody there and in them going to get more friends and bigger kites and balls, so we gave up and adapted our vacation plans to the circumstances.
