We liked having a fully working kitchen for breakfasts in the morning and an occasional dinner at night. We liked the extra space to stretch out at night after a long day of hiking and exploring. We liked watching TV in the comfortable living room. We liked the ability to do wash, clean the dishes, vacuum the floor. The decor was cute and entertaining. The house was not heated, but the portable heaters compensated well enough. We would have loved to have spent more time in the nice outside yard, if the weather was better. Next time.

We loved the back garden as it was the perfect place to have lunch or dinner, or just a drink and relax. I was able to do yoga every day in the garden, and it was ideal with beautiful flowers and trees. Shade and peace. The whole property was so clean and well taken care of, it was perfect for our family trip to the Azores!

The owners thought of everything. the house was beyond fully equipped, it felt like home. Garden is beautifully maintained, house is as well.
No Air conditioning, so on warmer nights it was harder to sleep. Not a lot of storage space to unpack into, most drawers were filled.

The home is a family museum and very interesting. Duarte enouraged me to explore the home and garden,
Parking is difficult, but this is probably normal for this area.

Everything was perfect! The owner was very friendly and helpful! The House was very lovely and there were everything what we needed. One of the best accomodation I have been to. We really appreciated a nice gift from owners - basket with local products 😍

Nice apartment in a lovely town - Vila Franca is a very charming place to stay: beautiful views, quiet streets and convenient for other attractions on the island. The hosts were very friendly. The place was clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The backyard was very large and a pleasant place to spend time in.
The parking was a little challenging for us who are not used to narrow streets.

Fantastic place in a good location. Cosy, fully equipped, very comfortable, clean, spacious, charming house with garden and tables for eating, BBQ, chairs, sunbeds. Very friendly and helpful host Duarte, fast contact. Nice welcome gift from Duarte's wife, the basket with all kinds of domestic products.

Easy communication with the host and smooth pick up of the keys. Well equiped kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable beds and blankets. Nice garden with a terrace and a garden grill. Very nice atmosphere of the house and the whole place. Welcome basket with regional products was a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this accomodation.

Duarte and his wife were awesome hosts. We arrived with our young baby and they provided a baby seat, play mat, baby bath, and toys for him (as well as the usual crib!). This made a huge difference for us compared to all our other rentals. The garden is lovely and it’s just a shame we couldn’t make the most of it with the rain. They have thought of everything and provide dark towels for the hot springs, and umbrellas for the rain. The kitchen is well equipped.
The road outside leads to a viewpoint so can be busy, and even with a small rental car we couldn’t park on the property but there was parking across the street.

A very nice , beautifull and authentic accomodation. Reality is better than the shown pictures. Very nice hosts with a pleasant welcome. Strongly recommend!!!

It’s a hidden jewel. A 5-star experience from the start until the end. The house and the garden are absolutely beautiful. Good location - walking distance. Terrific welcome basket with local foods prepared by our gracious hosts, extremely well equipped and good location. Daily fresh bread sold by van on the street!

We have stayed in all types of private accommodation over the years and this gorgeous Azorian house has to be the best.
Duarte welcomed us and right from the beginning I fell in love with this place.
It has absolutely everything.
We loved the open fireplace the beautiful garden and the cosiness and quirkyness of the house.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in such wonderful accomodation.
