We booked 1 night at this hotel. Came around 5 pm, but GPS did not find it. We spent 1 hour trying to locate the hotel without success and decided to see Poseidon temple, and then check in. It was after 8 pm when we attempted to find the hotel   and after cruising narrow streets for 30 min and stopping at another hotel finally we found  sign "Poseidon hotel" with closed gates . Ring button did not work. So, we had to make call with roaming charge , and Dennis came to open the gate. It was close to 10 pm. He said the gate closes at 8 pm, which was not mentioned during booking. We were upset and frustrated.  For 30+ years of intense traveling it was first such miserable experience.  Do not wish anybody this. So, 1. Sign was wrong: Poseidon hotel is not "Poseidon beach villas". 2. Closing gates was not mentioned. 3. Ring button did not work. 4. Wi fi for Samsung phone not working. 5. In our room on the 2nd floor ceiling very low over sinks and bed 6. Breakfast is not greek. Very basic. No good coffee.

The location is amazing with a fantastic view and close to the beach. The villa we stayed in was clean and the beds comfortable and it was certainly quirky with a certain charm! The whole area is gated so very secure. The host was excellent and gave us good tips on where to eat locally, we tried one of the places and it was fantastic. We only stayed one night and this was fine for that, I don’t think it’s the best place for a long term stay. Also only a short walk to the temple of Poseidon.

As with some of the other reviews, the place obviously could do with a lot of money being spent on it and it needs modernisation. There are some cracked bathroom tiles etc and our air con unit leaked so we had to put a pan under it. But we were only staying the one night so it didn’t really matter to us and the quirks also add some rustic charm to the place! I would say it’s great for a night or two but not somewhere for a long stay.

I do agree with Mr adonios it is. Like a sanctuary and has a excellent view. 😄 😉

Our stay at Poseidon Beach Villas has been wonderfull! Mr. Dennis put a lot of effort in order to make us feel like home and we are grateful for that. Despite what previous reviews stated about the hotel and various other aspects of it, I want to point out some things which really stood out to us. First of all, the location is mesmerizing and the view is breathtaking. We found ourselves staring at the beautiful sea for hours and finding our inner peace. Secondly, the whole hotel gives a very heartwarming feeling as well as a cozy vibe, both of which I have yet to find in other hotels in Greece. Since our very first moments in the property we felt like we were part of the family. And last but not least we could not but admire the hard work and the effort of the staff and the owner who went out of their ways to provide us a unique experience which will most definitely be unforgettable! Dennis, thank you for everything and we look forward to our next stay on your hotel!

this property is located in a most peaceful and magical location near Poseidon Temple of Sounio. The view is breathtaking and there is a serene quality, a quietness and peacefulness.Although the room was a bit dated, the fact that the property and the room was accessible for my wheelchair more than made up for that. The owner is very aware of mobility difficulties and is striving to make this property even more accessible. in the near future, he hopes to make an elevator system to take mobility challenged individuals to the beach. At the moment, it is not possible to access the sea if wheelchair bound or have mobility issues, but Dennis the owner has detailed ( and is determined) plans to change this. I am grateful I found a hotel that was accessible, with a breathtaking view…the rooms can and will be updated, but for me location and accessibility was everything as I have had a difficult time finding such accessibility in other hotels.

The scenery, the view, the location, value for money.

The location and view were both amazing and he staff was very friendly and helpful. waking distance to the temple, several beaches and tavernas. kind of remote if you do not have a car, but a perfect last stop before heading back to the airport! We would have enjoyed staying there an extra day to the view and slower pace!

it has the potential to be wonderful...

We needed last second accommodation and Poseidon was available....now I know why. The unit they offered us filthy. the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept or mopped since the previous guests. the bathroom counter was a mess. we asked them to clean and they sent the woman to our place. she swept a bit and that’s it! i wasn’t going to even complain about this or give a review. but when we returned from our full days private boat ride from Kea, we arrived to a house full of ants! we hadn’t even eaten in there!!!

Prince room has a great view of the Temple of Poseidon. That is exactly what we wanted. It was peaceful and relaxing and an exceptional view.

The room has some odd angles but it gives us the view we wanted.

Exceptional views and the sound of the sea! Tranquility. Direct access to a private beach. Very close to the Poseidon Temple.

This place need a refresh, it looks and feels like abandoned. The WIFI never worked. The Breakfast area could be best located outside.
