location on the bend of a busy road, we didn’t realise this until we had arrived. However we ordered a back room and once the windows were shut we barely heard anything

Service is really nice, place is clean, food was okay but the location on the load road with a house in which you can hear every door close and open didnt contribute to a good night's rest at all. The old matress which had clearly been used a long time by a very heavy person did not help either. Way too expensive for what we got.

Too noisy and old bad matress. Less sugary choices at breakfast, whole grain, fruit better salad for dinner would be appriciated.

Breakfast was very good and served our purpose very well. It was relaxing to have a drink at the end of the day admiring the mountains. Parking was nice and flat.

Booking.com lists the wrong address. It is not in Chiavenna, but in a neighboring village, Giacomo Filipo. I got lost using this address in the GPS. PLEASE< correct the address.

The hotel is ideally placed part way up the Spluga Pass, right on the main road. Unfortunately that means quite a lot of road noise, but the sound insulation is excellent with the windows closed! We were met by the lovely Lorena, already prepping for dinner. Our room was very clean, rather basic but comfortable. The shower was possibly the tiniest one we have ever used, but perfectly adequate. Dinner was freshly prepared and excellent, it was fabulous not having to go out again to eat. There was a party of bikers staying, there is a large garage for bikes if needed. We slept really well, despite having to have the windows closed. Breakfast included bread, croissants, ham, cheese and coffee or juice. If you're looking for deluxe comfort, this isn't the place for you, but if you want a very clean, friendly and charming overnight stop with an excellent dinner, stop here!

The location is superb. Very scenic and peaceful. The host was excellent and very supportive. The apartment we stayed in was simple but super clean. The host also helped us with off-hour food request.

Although it was summer, it was cold in the region and we were missing some extra blankets. However it was manageable in the end.

Located 30 drive minutes from Montespluga and 30 drive minutes from Lake Como this accommodation was the perfect choice for a cozy stay from where we could make daily trips to different destinations. The region around the hotel gives so many different tour opportunities that you can’t spend too much time there. We planned to stay for only 2 nights but quickly decided to change it up to 4 nights because it was that nice! The room was even bigger then we could have hoped for and we also were able to sit outside in the front yard and play card games in the evening. If you think about a stay at Italo-Svizzero you need to know about the great 3-course meal in the evening! You can choose between 2 dishes per course, it’s absolutely delicious and only 15€/person! The staff was exceptionally kind and I’m looking forward to my next stay :) Extra tipp: Try the vino rosso della casa

Very nice hotel with a very nice host in a great region. Great breakfast. The bed was very comfortable.

Owner was very nice and helpful. Garage available for motorcycles and homemade Dinner with ingredients from the region was very delicious.

The shower was a little bit to small at least for me.
