Loved the privacy of the villas.

The distance to the main ubud, means a shuttle service was needed but there was no shuttle after 830 so we either had to have an early dinner or request an after hour shuttle which cost us extra money.

It's about a few km away from Ubud Center, and they have a free shuttle departing and picking up from the center. The entrance is not fancy but its a nice boutique hotel with two big pools and a big jacuzzi. Very calm and quiet. It is an enjoyable stay for honeymoon couples and families. We went as 3 couples and had a good relaxed time in the place. They have music on during the happy hour at the main pool. 2nd pool is a big one too which we enjoyed the most. We took the rooms with Super Deluxe with Garden View and it has a good-sized bedroom with a courtyard and a massive toilet with a bathtub, shower, and big cupboard to store your items (including a locker). The food is good at the restaurants and nothing to complain about. They even had some Indian food on the menu. The staff is very polite and welcoming.

Loved the evening dinner featuring Balinese percussionists & dancers. It was exceptional - - the Dancers Superb!

Walking around the compound grounds was challenging. Surfaces were uneven, often stepping carefully from one large stone to the next. Also, in many areas with stairs, there could have been better grab railings.

Lokalizacja z dała od miasta. Trzeba dojechać Ok. 20minut autem,ale hotel organizacje bezpłatne transfery. Drzwi do łazienki nie zapewniają pełnej dyskrecji.

Located quite far from Ubud central, massages differed in quality both times we had them, did not sleep well due to hearing everything from neighbouring private villa at 1am (private villas are not that private)

We had our wedding at the Alena on 20.5.23 and booked 15 rooms for our family and friends. The staff are the loveliest people you'll meet and are so accommodating to anything you could possibly need. The rooms, pools, day spa and grounds are flawless, the food in the restaurant is top quality, and the little extra touches from the staff made our wedding and our stay exceed everyone's expectations. Special mention to Dayu who was a pleasure to deal with. We've stayed at a lot of different hotels in Bali over many, many trips and the Alena Resort is the BEST one we've ever stayed in, we cannot wait to come back again!

We felt really cozy in the hotel. Staff were amazing, really kind and helpful. Overall, everything was perfect.

The hotel I stayed at was the best I've ever experienced! The staff were incredibly lovely, respectful, and nice, always going out of their way to ensure my comfort. I stayed there with my 1-year-old daughter and they provided us with all the support we needed. The restaurant was a 5-star establishment in my opinion. All the meals I ordered were prepared at the same time and were incredibly fresh. You could tell from the time it took to prepare and the taste of the food. I can't wait to go back to this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Amazing! A wonderful place to stay, accomodation was first class and impeccable. Staff were caring and we loved the traditional Balinese touches.

Beautiful and lush! all the tropical plants and surroundings just take your breath away! we stayed at 5 hotels on our Bali trip and this is by far my favorite! Rooms and beds are clean and comfortable! The private pool villas are a must! We booked our 2 hrs massages/body scrubs the night before and also early the next morning! The massage therapists are wonderful! The staff is super attentive! Make sure to bring your mosquito repellents! Don’t forget to get your malaria shots/pills before coming to Bali!

The villa with private pool was perfect for our honeymoon! The villa was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful!

We loved our stay! One tip though would be to make the breakfast a bit more flexible (combination of the various types on offer). But other than that, nothing from us. We'll be back to this place whenever we're on Bali again!

The pools are amazing and the staff is simply the best!

The location is a little bit outside of town but I enjoyed the peace and quiet.

As it says in the name the place was quite the experience. Staff were very attentive and the placed over a uniqueness to it that was done through small details throughout our stay there.

The exceptional service, calmness and the food. The rooms are amazing , especially the Villa Sahadiwa that we were staying in. Beautiful and provide.

It was welcoming yet private.

The choice for the breakfast is set so if you are staying for longer it gets boring eating the same option, especially if you are vegetarian with one option.

The luxury suite rooms were good and the ambience around was nice , could get the Bali feel around it.

The one bedroom pool villa room was so far away from the reception, the room was not so clean , there were many spiders, geckos, lizards all round. The bathroom was filled with frogs. The heater was not working for two days. And then we had to change the room to suite room. Evenings were wet, the place was dark, there was no proper lighting on the way to the villa. We had to use the flashlight. The breakfast was good, but some days it was really late, we had to wait for more than 45 minutes to get one dish served. Overall the place was good. The luxury suite villa was excellent.

Staff friendly and very accommodating. Shuttle bus service definitely required. Staff make the stay well worth the isolated distance. If you want a peaceful break, this resort should be considered.
