De Wifi daar kregen wij geen connectie mee.

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung. Wir sind zu zweit zum Radfahren dort gewesen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es ein gutes Restaurant und in Vaals zusätzlich sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Der Blick aus dem Küchenfenster sorgt direkt zum Frühstück für gute Laune. Herrlicher Blick auf einen See mit Enten, Wildgänsen etc. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und unkompliziert und jederzeit ansprechbar. Für Leute die gerne in Hügeliger Landschaft sportlich mit den Rädern unterwegs sind ist die Gegend ein Traum. Die Wälder haben wir auf Grund des wochenlangen Regens leider noch nicht befahren, werden es aber mit Sicherheit in einer anderen Jahreszeit nachholen und wieder dort wohnen. Auf der Terrasse wird es im Sommer wunderschön sein. Liebe Grüße an Silke u Franz

Es war alles super

Het huis lijkt zoals op de foto's. Op het eerste gezicht ziet het er verzorgd uit en de keuken is zeer compleet ingericht.

Het is raar dat je je eigen beddengoed moet meenemen. Ik heb erg getwijfeld of ik het moest boeken omdat dit veel over een verhuurder zegt. Achteraf gezien had ik beter iets anders kunnen boeken. Je hebt kussens met een sloop, dekens zonder sloop en geen lakens. Het blijft raar omdat je een fors bedrag voor schoonmaak betaaldt. Dan verwacht je een schoon huis met opgemaakte bedden. Als je allegisch voor stof bent, dan wees gewaarschuwd. Het is erg stoffig bij het bed. Het bestaat uit gestapelde paletts. Daar gaat veel stof tussen zitten wat niet schoon gemaakt wordt. Het bed boven is slecht bereikbaar via een uitdagende trap. De lucht in het huis is erg droog. Je kunt de temperatuur in het huis niet aanpassen. Voor ons was dat erg vervelend omdat het winter is en wij het ijskoud hadden. Je wil niet de hele avond in bed liggen of onder een deken aan tafel zitten. De enige reactie van de eigenaar is dat het automatisch geregeld wordt. Daar heb je dus niks aan want het is ijskoud. Het heeft een prachtig bad. Helaas sluit de afvoer niet goed af waardoor het water langzaam wegloopt als je een bad neemt. Dat is niet comfortabel. De eigenaren wonen pal aan de overkant en kijken letterlijk bij je naar binnen. Daar moet je van houden. Al met al wegen voor ons de nadelen niet op tegen de voordelen.

Hot water under the shower and temperature in the house ( both too hot )

The location and the view from the window is very beautiful - the duck pond (with actual ducks), the hills, the town church nearby, all make a gorgeous peaceful scenery, very pleasant to observe and walk around. The house is large (larger than it looks on photos), was quite enough for two of us. Rotating TV wall is amazing! There's a winery (only sparkling wines, but good) in the nearby town of Holset, and a selection of supermarkets in Vaals 10-minutes drive away. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, all facilities were in order and well stocked on small but important things like dishwasher tablets, towels etc.

There was a small hiccup on locating the property, but the owner was available on call so wasn't a problem - but still, you might want to ask for specific directions (if you come from the direction of Holset, you have to pass the B&B and find a gravel road leading to the pond behind it). The road nearby is a bit noisy in the morning - there's some commute traffic, and even though it's nothing like highway, it strikes a contrast with otherwise silent rural surroundings. It's quiet during the night though.

The hosts are super friendly and make you feel very welcome, while the accomodation also provides plenty of privacy. The location is perfect. Close to the best hiking trails in the area and easily accessible by car. We love the garden, panorama and pond with a large variety of birds. During a sunny vacation day, only the sound of the occasional passing motorcycle-tourists may disrupt this peaceful paradise. At night, there is perfect silence. The house itself is beautiful and very well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we could wish for. The large free-standing bathtub is also a great asset. In general, the house is much more spacious than what the pictures might tell you. Thank you Silke and Franz for saving our honeymoon! :)

Nothing important. The only detail we could think of, is that the knobs in the shower cabin were a bit difficult to control. Personally no need for all the extra functions :) New/better pillows for the bed would make things perfect.
