Starting with a warm welcome at the reception, then checked into a well maintained and super clean room with good amenities, a good shower and a super comfortable bed. Relaxed in the beautiful Spa and finished with one of the best breakfasts ever experienced. Highly recommended

Lovely surroundings. The hotel simply needs a revamp. I went there thinking castle and big price tag it must be amazing. I missed that feeling.

Must see; must go, must experience This beautiful castle which was transformed into a hotel, has all the amenities one could dream of; spacious rooms, amazing view to wake up to; the lake, the swans and the vast green. The staff are super friendly and they are super pet friendly. As for the gastronomy, the breakfast is a big feast; which takes place at the dinner castle. We also tried the Bistro and the famous (IN DE OUDE WATERMOLEN), which served signature dishes from the region. The experience was unique, would recommend for starters; the deer pastrami and for main courses; the entrecôte beef, grilled and the redfishfillet dish. I don’t recommend the cauliflower starter Highly recommend and would do it again. If you are visiting Maastricht, you can stay at this hotel in the quiet oasis if luxury and drive to Maastricht to enjoy an Andre Rieu concert or go to Valkenburg to enjoy wonderful Christmas vibes in this charming town. Great hotel for couples and families. I would rate it 5 out of 5

Beautiful surroundings. The gentle stream running just outside provided a relaxing soundscape. There’s was a good choice for breakfast.

Friendly staff, really nice pool and sauna, fine dining restaurant was wonderful with great food and formal service. I was sorry we had such a quick visit. Will definitely return.

The best things about Vaalsbroek are its proximity to the countryside (in the middle of it!), the animals (hint...cows like apples), the mosoleum, the restaurant (fantastic), and the fitness / pool area. This is why I return. The rooms are Scandinavian simple and far below the level of Kasteel Bloemendahl (a more upscale hotel nearby where I also stay often). Service is Dutch (non-existent to poor). So if you want a finer hotel with better service, choose Bloemendahl. If you want to walk in the fields and have a pool and gym, pick Vaalsbroek. I alternate myself.

The Hotel is in a wonderful small park, the spa area is clean and was not crowded. Unfortunately, gardening started at 8:15 in the morning with very loud machines and woke us up. We complained at the reception and where told that they were subcontractors. Well, please get them to start later, next time....Otherwise, a very nice stay.

Found very well adopted to Covid-19 precautions. Restaurant and bistro recently re-opened, obviously complying with 1.5 meter distancing regulations. Compliments to the hotel staff! Nice indoor swimming pool. Clean room and good beds. A good location for visiting nearby cities of Aachen, Maastricht, Valkenburg and the ‘drielandenpunt’.

Generally happy with the hotel. One or 2 minor cleanliness issues but wouldnt put me off staying again. Very nice setting and helpful staff especially in the bar! Only complaint would be empty minibar and no water in the room. However there was room service available

I came back to this wonderful location and had a disappointing experience.The room offerred a superb view on a giant garbage container. There was no water in bottles in the room and the minibar not in service. Plastic cups instead of glasses. Old yellow plastic kettle to prepare you instant coffee. Check out was a disaster. I was presented a bill for a booking that has been already paid. As I was prepared for this ‘type of interaction’ and had previously checked that payment had been made, I immediately showed my credit card online statement. Staff was saying that the amount on the credit card statement was not matching. Long discussion with staff to explain why amount on credit card statement was different (orbucks has been deducted!!) Had to show again all emails and recalculate in front of the staff to it was correct. This took about 20 minutes and really ruined my day. Unexpected!!! Can the front desk just call Orbitz? I definitely expect more service from so called stars hotels like this.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Bilderberg Kasteel Vaalsbroek hotel. The room was nice, clean and modern. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped (even though it could use active ventilation). The breakfast buffet is great and offers a large variety of food.The area around the hotel is gorgeous. In case you have a few free minutes, I would recommend to walk through the park behind the Kasteel, or to sit on the patio of the hotel bar while enjoying the view and a drink.

This is my 3rd castle ive stayed at in the Vaals - Aachen - Maastricht area. probably my favorite. it has a lively bar in the evening and there are 2 restaurants, both very expensive though. the grounds are lovely, and you can walk, ride a bike or jog in the countryside for hours. even feed the cows apples. i went on a lively run that took me into germany, back to the netherlands, into belgium and back to the netherlands. the town has a wonderful market and a number of good restaurants. i dont recommend local cuisine much. I dont recommend eating at the Zwarte Madonna. l despite the charm of some of its interior. Basic uninspired blah of the region and poor service. i dont know where to eat in vaals yet. do go to the church museum next to Zwarte Madonna. Do venture into the countryside and surrounding villages. Do spend time in Aachen. Do spend a night at least in Maastricht if you can. it is a jewel of Europe.

The reception in the hotel was kind and everything was already present at the counter so the checkin was done in two minutes. The facilities were good, clean and as described. The room was spacious and the minibar well filled. The beds were big and soft and the rooms were well isolated so there was no noise from the rest of the hotel coming in.Breakfast was good and friendly.

Overall our stay was good. We arrived after 10 pm, and found the room without bath as described in the booking. We talked to the reception and learned that not all rooms with bath, and they were sold out that night.Then the hotel offered to leave the swimming pool open for us to have a swim. We enjoyed that. However the breakfast was not so impressive, there were not so many options

Lovely place, well maintained facilities and conscientious staff. Great meals. Staff were knowledgeable and passionate about the food served and that it was local produce.
