Truly right at the steps of beautiful Spello! Walkable to the train station, easily (we took one day to travel to Rome for a day visit…$12.50/pp each way, and 2.5 hrs each way. We left at 6am, back at 8pm - had time to see lots but of course not everything). Within 5 min you can access steps up to Spello, and start wandering the little nooks and crannies of this special town. The apartment itself was clean and spacious, lots of hot water, and a kitchen with breakfast and drink items left by the host for us to enjoy. The owner met us on arrival, super nice…couple words of English, some German, and the rest Italian- but quickly willing to grab his phone to speak/translate! He even gave us suggestions for a couple of local towns we should visit - which we did visit the itty bitty town of waterfalls he suggested, loved it but can’t remember the name! A 5 min walk from the apartment is a restaurant we enjoyed, right at the end of the street and before you go up steps to Spello…good food, kind service. If you’re super lucky, visit Spello during the flower festival (look it up!), it’s quite AMAZING! Infiorito Spello…the town spends all night Sat night creating flower art on the cobblestone streets in preparation for the Sunday religious procession (this years was 2nd weekend in June). We did drive, and the apartment has a gated parking area that’s secure and spacious. We were a family of 5

Nothing to dislike

We loved the location. 5 min walk to the old city center Spello. There is no cars zone in the old town ( ZLT zone) . So parking in the driveway of the accomodation was perfect. The appartment on the first floor is huge. Space for 7 people . Kitchen has all you need. We did not even used the dining/living room. There Is a nice dinning table and couches in the big room connected to the kitchen. 2 bathrooms... New showers are great. All very clean. Older furniture but well kept. The owner Is full of advices what to see. Good suggestions. Thank you.

For those who do not speak/understand a word of italian a bit tricky. But the owner spoke a slow simple italian so we understood 90 %. But we understand some italian and tried to communicate in italian when possible.

Location is good , we can park at hotel and walk to old city easy.

Our host was friendly and the facility was clean.

Breakfast was disappointing. One yoghurt was supplied for two people for two days.

Great location; about 1 min walk to the town. Apartment was immaculately clean, comfortable beds, super to have aircon available and all at a brilliant price. Host was also very kind and helpful.

Owner was very attentive and kind.

It was good stay in a suburban house to get a feel for ‘ordinary’ life rather than always just staying in a tourist place. A short walk to the restaurant inside the walls. Owner was a gentle and kind host. Lots of parking if you have a car and excellent budget option for walkers on the Way of St Francis.

Because of the rain we could check-in earlier and check-out later. Thanks. Beautiful room - friendly host - big bathroom - nice terrace that we unfortunately couldn't use because of the bad weather. Superb breakfast with biological fruit (from the garden) and self-made kefir.
