The room was spacious and it felt a bit like being in a jungle camp, perfect preparation for the safari tour the next day. Host was very friendly and accommodating. He runs safaris in Udawalawe NP and arranged for me to join another group so I could share costs. The half day safari was excellent. He found lots of elephants and other animals stopped long enough to take good photos and enjoy the animals.

You have to do the safari with them, but we did not have the chance to share safary car. A lot of car empty. Bad for animals.

Nandu took really care of me during my stay. As others already stated, the food of his Mum was just awesome and a lot. The same for the safari, just great. Special highlight was the card game night. Wifi was also very fast. Thanks for the nice stay!

Great host, they picked us up and dropped us again at the bus station, cooked a lot of vegetarian food for us, and helped us to find a shared safari jeep tour :)

The room was extremely good value, comfy bed, mosquito net, air con and an en suite with a great dinner and breakfast included. Nandu gave us an amazing safari tour in the morning which we’d highly recommend doing

Tour with Nandu was excelent, real professional and stops when you want it in the animal park. Also their meals were really excellent dinner and breakfast just jammy. Also he comes to pick you up with his jeep at the bus station included in the prize. No problem with musquitos and he served delicious old Arrack as a real guest and welcome drink together with home made fruit juice. I really recommend his hotel and him as a guide.!

We should have stayed longer :)

The owner of the property asked if we wanted to purchase a safari package with him, to which we said no as we did not have time. The owner then proceeded to ask us to pay for our breakfast the following morning (breakfast was included in the booking price). The owner falsely advertises prices for rooms online. If you don’t use him for a safari tour then he makes the stay uncomfortable and asks for additional payments from you. We were very disappointed in our stay and made to feel extremely unwelcome once the owner knew we wouldn’t be using his safari services. Our stay has been reported to Booking.com.

Best Safari guide ever, Nandu (guide and owner of the property) was very nice and calm. Drove us to a lunch place and took us back so we don't have to walk in the heat. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Owner showed us many different animals that we never seen before, very interesting experience. The dinner family made was delicious also.
